TYKIRIA L. BENJAMIN TYKIRIA L. BENJAMIN 5'7" | PG St. Lucie West Centennial | 2025 FL / 5’6 PG / St Lucie West Centennial
Benjamin created quite a buzz at the showcase. She was one of the most athletic players in the building. Her ability to hang in the air “defies gravity.” Not only could Benjamin jump out of the gym, but she was pretty good inside the gym as well. She had a nice midrange game and could drive in the lane and elevate for baskets. Benjamin is also special on the defensive end. She has quick feet and hands and plays an ” in-your-face” defensive game. She harassed ball handlers all day and recorded several impressive steals. Benjamin will be one to watch this year. The comparison to Jaida Civil Jaida Civil 5'11" | PG Palm Bay | 2025 State FL surfaced all day long and that’s saying a lot.
If there was one player who raised their stock at the event it was Lamiyah Hogans Lamiyah Hogans 5'10" | CG San Jose Prep | 2025 State FL . Hogans really played well at the showcase. Her offensive versatility was impressive. Hogans shot the three-pointer well and also showcased her pull-up jumper in the mid-range. When she wasn’t shooting jumpers, she was attacking the basket with a purpose. Hogans played with determination and confidence. She was good on defense and used her length to get deflections and steals. Hogans was also good in transition. She can fill the lanes and also has the ability to take it all the way to the basket or dish to an open teammate.
Destiny Donaldson Destiny Donaldson 5'9" | SF Ribault | 2025 State FL / 5’9 SF / Ribault
Donaldson played very well at the showcase. She was an offensive force on the inside, outside, and in transition. She showed a nice shooting touch from behind he arc and in the midrange area. In the paint, is where she especial. She was too quicks for forwards and centers and she just overpowered guards who were defending her. Donaldson also ran the courts very well and had several memorable fast break points in transition. She grabbed offensive rebounds and defensive rebounds and was a standout in the rebound department. Defensively, she was versatile and defined in the paint and on the wings. Donaldson is tall, lengthy, and quick and she used those attributes to intercept passes in the passing lane and take them back for layups and open shots for her teammates.
Terrannya Medlock / 6’0 SF / Ribault
Medlock really played well and just played with determination and a motor that wouldn’t stop. Medlock turned heads with her long frame and relentless efforts on the court. Medlock challenged every loose ball, and every rebound. She was very good on the offensive glass and had one sequence where she grabbed three consecutive rebounds before scoring the basket. Medlock also excelled in the rebound department and in transition. Medlock had some nice finishes around the basket. She had a very good day at the showcase and created some talk amongst the coaches in attendance.
Dariasia Pitts / 6’0 C / Bartow
Pitts was impressive at the Southeast Showcase. Offensively, she did a good job of establishing position in the paint. She has really good hands and can catch every pass that is thrown her way. At the showcase, she converted a lot of shots in the paint and drew fouls as well. she really ran the court well in transition. Her hustle down the court enabled her get great post position in the paint. She had some nice finishes at the basket. One of her most impressive plays came after she was rejected by 2024 Kiara Williams Kiara Williams 6'1" | PF Palm Bay Magnet | 2024 State FL . Pitts caught the rejection and finished with a reverse layup. Pitts did a good job of protecting the paint on the defensive end and got after it on the boars. She will be a player to watch this upcoming season.
JoLesa Birkhead JoLesa Birkhead 5'8" | CG Winthrop College Prep Academy | 2025 State FL / 5’6 SG / Tampa Bay Technical
Birkhead had a good showing at the showcase. She shot the ball well from the corners and played very good defense. Birkhead does a nice job getting to her spots on the floor and letting the shot fly after the catch. She has a smooth let-hand jumper and can shoot it from behind the arc and also in the midrange area. Birkhead is a very good defender who has good size and athleticism.
Phantasia Lauriston Phantasia Lauriston 5'8" | CG Palm Bay | 2025 State FL / 5’8 CG / Viera High
Lauriston played well at the showcase. She played her usual versatile game, including some nice scoring drives to the basket. Lauriston can shoot the ball from all levels on the court, including getting to the basket. She is a high IQ player who can play at the point guard position or at the shooting guard position.
