Last season, some of these players had some stand-out moments, some showed flashes of things to come, and others played a small role to help their respective teams. These 2025s flew under the radar last year and are looking to come from under it.
Kylie Johnson / Post / Atlantic Coast
Johnson had a good Freshman campaign. She averaged nearly 7 points per game and 7 rebounds per game. Johnson had a 17-point performance last year against Baldwin and scored in double-digit 4 other times. Johnson has a motor that doesn’t quit and she gives it her all on both ends of the court.
Taccarri Neal / 6’0 C / University Christian
Neal held down the paint this summer during AAU and showed a lot of improvement in her game. Neal showed an ability to block shots at times and was very active on the boards hard. She ran the floor well and was able to contribute to the transition game. Neal had some good moments in the paint during the travel season. She was able to consistently get to the foul line. Neal continues to work on her game and is poised and determined to be a presence in the middle this upcoming season.
Lavin Savage Lavin Savage SG Impact Christian Academy | 2025 State FL / 5′ 3 / SG / Fletcher
Savage has shown improvement since her Freshman season. In AAU, she wasn’t the primary ball handler, but she did have success with secondary ball-handling responsibilities, especially in the press break. She has a lot of grit and is very aggressive on the defensive end of the court. Savage plays an in-your-face style of defense and is not afraid to mix it up with anyone. Her defense will keep her on the court. Savage’s offensive game is still developing. She can take it to the rim, and an occasional knock down the three. Last season, Savage had a 10-point performance against Atlantic Coast. She is looking to have more games like that game.
Ryleigh Booth / SG / Mandarin
Booth can shoot the ball from behind the arc and has one of the sweetest shots in the 2025 class in Jacksonville. She came up from JV midway through last season with a shooter’s reputation. She will be one to watch this upcoming season.
Kennis Gray Kennis Gray 5'7" | SG Riverside | 2025 State FL / 5’3 SG / Riverside
Gray showed promise last year with some athleticism and good inside play. With more consistency and confidence, Gray could be a go-to player for Riverside this year. Gray worked on her game over the summer and looks to be more consistent from long range. She already has a good mid-range game. Gray will be a player to watch this upcoming season
Ezria Ward / 5’1 G / Riverside
Ward had some good moments in her Freshman season and looks to be more consistent this upcoming season. According to her Coach, Ward worked on her game and she will be a player to keep an eye on this upcoming season. She is very athletic and plays good defense, using her athletic abilities – quick feet and speed. With the departure of London Jenkins London Jenkins 5'4" | PG Fleming Island | 2024 State FL , Ward will be required to make more contributions on the court.
