You have self-promoters, club directors, club coaches, trainers, and even parents attempting to get an edge by over-publicizing players for their own agenda, I get it, everyone is looking for an edge to make money or not trying to spend any on college, it’s always been that way, it’s just way out there
I do my own thing which means I don’t listen to what others think, that’s their opinion and has nothing to do with mine, remember, I am a REAL evaluator, so I have to actually see the player(s) for myself and integrate “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” into the equation, so I flipped flopped some players, some will come right back after recuperating but here you go
#1 Justice Carlton Justice Carlton 6'1" | PF Seven Lakes | 2024 State TX (Seven Lakes)
( Up from #2)
Carlton is one of the players I took it upon myself to go and see multiple times. I rarely see the EYBL teams so I knew I hadn’t caught her in a couple of seasons, it just made sense. She has become overpowering, which is an understatement, so let me add poised as well. She scores with either hand around the basket, sometimes effortlessly, she battles for boards but has two big pluses, she went coast to coast several times, while being pressured and she showed the midrange
#2 Vivian Iwuchukwu (Montverde Academy)
(Up from #3)
Iwuckhukwu is “long and athletic” I call that the base and she creates several issues when the offensive player attacks because of her timing. She blocks, alters, and (or) deflects shots, even blocked some with either hand, let me drop #THROWBACK for that. She also has added more to her offensive game, she’s finishing stronger after contact and showing she can face the basket and drop the short jumper
#3 Adhel Tac Adhel Tac 6'4" | C South Grand Prairie | 2024 State TX (South Grand Prairie)
(Up from #25)
Tac made a huge jump, she too is “long and athletic” and the scary part is her “ceiling has no roof” which means there is no telling how much-untapped potential is there. She blocks shots with authority and can handle the ball afterward but she also showed nice hands and footwork around the basket and with her wingspan, she effortlessly gets her shot off
#4 Ma’Riya Vincent Ma’Riya Vincent 6'0" | SF Cy Springs | 2024 State TX (DeSoto)
(Up from #5)
Vincent went completely off in July, in front of me and the caliber of talent she did it against had me SMH. She’s athletic and is strong enough to play the 4 on either end because she BATTLES for everything off of the glass. She also can play the 3, on both sides as she defended strongly against taller players on the perimeter, yet her mid to long-range also was showing blinking signs of playing the 2
#10 Ashna Tambe Ashna Tambe 5'7" | CG Hockaday | 2024 State TX (Hockaday)
(Up from #18)
Tambe blew up over the club season and with double-digit D1 offers alone, that makes me blush because I love saying I TOLD YOU SO but then again, I’m never wrong. Her ability to control the tempo at the 1 was over the top yet her ability to score, both off the dribble or from outside made her a legitimate scoring threat that also excelled in the clutch. She’s heady, plays within herself, and thinks the game
#11 Arianna Roberson Arianna Roberson 6'4" | C SA Clark | 2024 State TX (San Antonio Clark)
(Up from #26)
Roberson made huge jumps on the court, hey she’s long and athletic, but she also made a huge one off the court moving up 15 spots. I love watching her defend, she moves her feet well, keeps her arms extended, and doesn’t commit unnecessary fouls. She rebounds, on both ends, blocks shots with ease, and scores multiple ways around the basket but her scary upside is what really grabs me
#15 Chloe Mann Chloe Mann 5'8" | SG Duncanville | 2024 State TX (Duncanville)
(Up from #23)
Mann OH Mann is about to blow completely up after what I saw at Alamo City Hoops #HSShowdown a few weeks ago. She’s with a state contender and plays a huge role so watching her play the passing lane and “on the ball” defense is something I’ve grown accustomed to seeing. It was her creating her shot and dropping it under pressure as well as attacking and defying gravity with acrobatic finishes
#53 Rayna Williams Rayna Williams 5'10" | SF Frisco Lebanon Trail | 2024 State TX ( Frisco Lebannon Trail)
(Up from #80)
Williams is a player I lost track of and was happy to see her in a tournament on the PGH Circuit. Guess what? She’s long and athletic and her poise under pressure, her ability to score off the dribble as well as from outside, and her solid defense were all good. Her rebounding on both ends was solid, she even scored several times on putbacks
