Impressive player with good size and can beat you in various ways. She also has a good midrange game, is shifty and has good handles. Devin possesses a good crossover and is able to create her shots well. She has a high ceiling as she continues to improve her game. Watch for a solid season this winter.
Layla makes her debut at #62 after moving up from the watch list. I fgot to see her at the PGH Expo and was impressed with the way she moves with and without the ball. She is able to create off the pick and roll and can score off the cut. She really can do a lot of damage in a lot of ways and is a natural who just wants to keep getting better. She is a smart player with a good basketball IQ. Ready to see what she does during the high school season this winter.
Hadley jumps up to #61 after moving up from the watch list. She had a good spring with Ohio Xtreme and hopes to carry that over at CVCA. Just watching recent film on her, I noticed how explosive she is with the ball in her hands. She can fly up the court and push the tempo in her favor. Hadley is capable to finishing at the rim with either hand. Very court savvy, able to display good body control on penetration to the rim. Not afraid of contact, can create against most defenders. Threads the defense and can score.
Highlights
Got to see her for the first time at the PGH Expo and she was impressive the way she uses her 6′ frame to control things around the basket. Can rebound and defend, score with either hand or step outside. She is a player who opened my eyes and lands at #68 in the latest rankings. (feature photo above)
She continues to display a very solid all-around game. From the perimeter, you better know where she is at all the time. Able to open a game with her range. Not afraid to mix it up, will take the contact and finish the play. She works hard, doesn’t take plays off and is able to showcase a skill level that will keep getting better.
