Class of 2023: UNCOMMITTED Forwards

She is a physical 6-foot kid who showed she could play inside and out this summer. I was surprised at how well Hampel excelled this summer and how well the Hustlin' Hawk shot the ball. I knew she could battle around the basket, score over either shoulder and rebound at a high level. Even at the state tournament, when her team lost to the state champion Waupun, she still did everything she wanted and finished with a double-double. This summer, she showed she had the discipline to defend in the paint without fouling, especially in the region finals when the forward had to patrol the area around the basket, which she did masterfully. Ever since then, I've heard and seen nothing but good things from her. The Bradford forward can play anywhere from the two to a small-ball five and space the floor at a high level. She shoots the ball well and makes it look easy. Her length also makes her shooting challenging to contest unless the opposing team has someone with her size and athleticism, which will be rare. She did what coaches at the next level would want. Morren caught and kept the ball high when she had the chance, never brought the ball down on rebounds, and finished well around the basket. She is far from the finished product and has plenty to work on, but she has the base of a post that coaches love. Morren may not be the flashiest name or have the most pedigree to her name, but if coaches are looking for a center. I think she'd be a good fit.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
