Georgia Top 250 Shayla’s Top Playmakers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Girls Hoops Top 250 did not disappoint with all the talent in the building. The event took place at Lake Point Sports in Emerson, GA and showcased some of the top talent in the state. This was by far one of the most competitive events we have seen in a long time. There were numerous over time games and games decided by sudden death in overtime. Every game I watched on the day she played the whole game and did not lack on either end of the floor. Her length allows her to do so much on the floor. She has handles which allows her to get to the rim and get downhill quickly which keeps her defenders on their heels. A player that can score at all 3 levels and defend at all 5 positions. Her court awareness and vision was top notch. A 6'0 combo player that can do it all. Showed her ability to get to the basket and score through contact but also use her length to post up inside. A player that can consistently knock down the mid range and outside shot. Moves well on both ends of the floor and has the ability to play all 5 positions. When the defense doubled her she showed her ability to make the extra pass or read. A coach's dream that plays hard every possession. What stood out to me was her ability to get to every loose ball. She was always around the basketball making positive plays. A player that is not afraid to get excited for her self or a teammates when they make a big play. Her ability to clean up the boards led to some easy scoring opportunities around the rim. A game changer that can score at will. A player that just does it all and leaves the wow factor when your watching her. Her ability to stop on a dime and knock down numerous triples is what stood out most. If you crowd her space she has the ability to get to the rim and score through contact. Also her ability to pressure and create turnovers which lead to some easy scoring opportunities in transition. She can do it all from anywhere on the court. She is a playmaker that can post up inside and shoot over the smaller defenders but also step out to shoot the 3 ball. Her game is so smooth and her length creates havoc on the offensive and defensive end. The moves she used on the block was those of a college ready player. When her team needed a basket she knew how to score at will. A player that can take over the game at any given moment. Her skill set is far beyond her age.
