Gentry is a floor general that embodies the true definition of a point guard. She leads her team, makes sure every player is in the best possible position to play their best, and she is a true competitor. Defensively she will pick-up the ball and apply pressure to disrupt the flow, then she plays the passing lane, rotates, and communicates exactly like a coach would want their lead-guard to do. She is a very skilled player that has improved leaps and bounds over the years and to see where she is now as a player – she has a lot to be proud of. She handles the ball very well and knows how to knock defenders off balance and back on their heels. If you pressure her, she will handle it well and possibly embarrass you. She is a knock-down shooter and is developing the ability to attack the basket in traffic and finish at the rim. She is a hard-worker and caught the eye of several college programs which include several Division 2 schools along with a handful of Division 1 offers. She has verbally committed to Oral Roberts University and plans to attend in the Fall of 2023.
Elise is a skilled guard with tremendous upside to her game. When she steps on the court you can see the anxiety from her opponents because they know it is going to be a long night. She has savvy ball-handling ability and plays with supreme confidence. She has a high-basketball IQ and is a play-maker. Elise explodes past her defenders and can mix it up off the dribble with the best of them. A special part of Elise’s game is her shooting ability. She is a ready shooter and can shoot it very well from long-range. She shoots the basketball quickly and accurately off the catch and off the dribble. I enjoy watching her play and she has decided to stay home, has verbally committed to the University of Tulsa, and plans to attend in the fall of 2023.
Parker has proved all junior season that she is a player that should be in the conversation as one of the top players in the state. I got a chance to see her play this summer on the circuit and she proved time in and time out that she is a prime-time player hitting big shot after big shot and making plays for the Oklahoma Swift team. She is under control and doesn’t get flustered when pressured. She is not afraid to attack the basket and finish in traffic if needed. She will make her free throws and when talking about attacking the basket, she is a player that always comes back for more. She has verbally committed to Oklahoma Baptist University and plans to attend in the Fall of 2023.
Tiani is a “do everything” type of player. I enjoy watching a player give 120% effort on the court and Tiani fits the mold. Before this summer I didn’t know much about her but after watching Team Trae Young on the circuit, she was a player that stood out to me on that team. When watching her play, you say to yourself, “she gets it”. She is a work horse on the glass, and she has great instincts on defense. She is a player that can guard multiple positions and she will hit the outside shot if it is there. She is at her best when putting the ball on the floor and attacking the basket. She absorbs contact well, finishes strong, and hits her free throws. She has multiple offers to play at the next level and whoever gets her to commit will be in for a treat because she will be a great asset to any college program.
Alexis is a competitive, fiery player that can go! She handles the ball very well and has the ability to change direction and create space off the dribble with the best of them. Her size allows her to guard multiple positions and her shooting ability makes her a threat in so many ways. She has range and can hit the deep shot in volumes. When attacking the basket she is able to bully her way through traffic and if she uses her body right, she can dominate over normal sized guards. She is mean at times and I think it is sometimes viewed wrong. She has that “dawg” in her and at times it comes out. People forget sometimes that in order to perform at a high-level, you will ruffle some feathers and as long it is in the spirit of being competitive and can remain sportsman-like than it is fair game. Alexis is a passionate player and that is usually what I see when she plays. She has verbally committed to University of Central Oklahoma and plan to attend in the Fall of 2023.
