Listed below are players that really made a name for themselves in the 11th region last season. I believe that they will make major leaps this year and possibly lead their teams to a region championship.
Highlights
As a freshman for Scott County last year Maleiyah Moore Maleiyah Moore 5'8" | SG Scott County | 2025 State KY was the second leading scorer with 12 points per game. She also led the team in three point field goals, shooting 32 percent and making 48 out of 150 of her shots from beyond the arc. Moore plays with confidence and she is extremely crafty on the offensive end. She has a quick trigger release and she is known to take an make tough shots. Moore is without a doubt one of the top shooters in the region look for her to put up big numbers for Coach Helton and the Cardinals this season.
Olivia Tierney Olivia Tierney 5'7" | SF Great Crossing | 2024 State KY is an elite three point shooter and a very good rebounder for a wing player. Last season she averaged 9 points along with 4 rebounds, per game. She had an impressive near triple double performance against Western Hills as she put 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 steals. Tierney has 3 and D capabilities and she competes hard on both ends of the floor. Great Crossing has a really talented roster I expect her to be the catalyst to their success this season.
Jada Bell
Jada Bell
Jada Bell is primed for a stellar senior season as a junior she averaged 8.4 points per game, 4 rebounds and 2.5 steals for Tates Creek. She is a tremendous on-ball defender her long arms and lateral quickness makes it hard for ball handlers to get by her. Bell has next level athleticism, speed, and ball handling ability making her a tough assignment for defenders. Look for her to be a major contributor for the Lady Commodores this season.
Jailenn Green
Jailenn Green
Jaileen “JG” Green is an exciting young talent with loads of potential. She is a left hand combo guard with elite skills and lethal scoring ability. Last season for Bryan Station she averaged 9.4 points per game and shot just over 60% from the free throw line. Green is a player that just knows how to get a bucket. She does most of her damage during the fast break hitting transition three’s and scoring at the rim in dramatic fashion. This sophomore season will be a big one for Green as she will be leaned on heavily to produce points for her team.
Chesney Lovins Chesney Lovins 5'7" | CG Berea | 2023 State KY had a very productive junior season for the Lady Pirates. She averaged 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 58.2% from the field, and an impressive 71.4% from the free throw line. Lovins gives maximum effort on both ends of the court. Offensively she can score from the perimeter as well gets points in the paint. On defense she plays with intensity and discipline having the ability how to apply tight ball pressure without getting into foul trouble. Lovins rebounds at a really high level for a guard she is good at anticipating the ball location allowing her to be in the right position for the board. I expect her to average a double-double this season as she is more than capable of doing so.
