Jenkins blocked 57 shots, and grabbed 188 rebounds as a freshman for Des Moines North last season in 23 games, while also scoring 14.0 PPG. She is a fundamental scorer with good vision and a strong right hand. She knows when to be aggressive compared to kicking it out to reset the offense when things break down. On defensive, Amani’s basketball IQ helps her know where the ball is going to be put up by the offense, making it easier for her to contest. With all that in mind and some help returning, Des Moines North should be looking at a successful season ahead.

Hannah Mogensen
Hannah Mogensen
Hannah Mogensen will return to The Stars looking to build on what she set in place last season. Swiping 99 steals in 22 games and averaging 6.4 PPG, the senior has quick hands with good touch around the hoop. She scores a majority of her baskets inside the three point line either at the rim or from the mid-range with a smooth jump shot. Defensively she is good at timing her opponents dribble, leading to a play on the ball usually resulting in a steal and finish. She will look to grow after a long offseason and contribute even more for her senior season with the Sioux City North Stars.
Camille Kruse Camille Kruse 5’7″ | PG Fort Madison | 2023 State IA had a good showing during the 21′-22′ season, being a complete guard for the Fort Madison Bloodhounds. Kruse scored 9.9 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 3.0 APG on the way to a 17-5 overall record, 7-3 in conference. While also recording 102 steals, ranking her in the top 3 for the 4A class. One of the most underrated things about Camille’s game is her turnover to assist ratio, registering 2:1 last year, ranking her top 5 in the 4A class. She is great with her on ball pressure and quick ability to call out what the offense is running. Not to mention her act of figuring out her opponents tendency’s in a timely manner. The efficient guard will return with two starters for The Bloodhounds from last season in attempts to compete once again this winter.

Brooklyn Love Brooklyn Love 6’1″ | PF Waterloo West | 2024 State IA was dominant as a combo guard last year, almost averaging a double double at 13.1 PPG, and 9.4 RPG. She is a player who can do it all for your program when it comes to the stat sheet and the offensive end, but most importantly, she is defined as an elite shot blocker. During the 21′-22′ season, Brooklyn blocked 102 shots in 22 games, ranking her #1 in the state of Iowa throughout all classes. Her length mixed with athleticism and IQ sets her up to dominate anyone in her way. Love will lead the new look Waterloo East Trojans to a better upcoming season competitively, after finishing just 3-19 overall last year.
