Prep Girls Hoops Predictions:
Lake View HS – The Lady Wild Gators finished (23-2) last season with losses coming to Military Magnet 59-50 and Purnell Swett (NC) who finished (25-1) on the season.
Latta HS – The Lady Vikings have a young roster and sophomore Makayla Legette Makayla Legette 5'5" | SG Trinity Collegiate | 2025 State SC . Latta HS finished (15-6) last season in Class 2A and dropped down a classification this season.
Green Sea Floyds HS – The Lady Trojans could rely on a few freshmen this coming season for Head Coach Tracy Kienast.
Lamar HS – Who will set up and lead for the Silver Foxes. Could Lakayla Peoples provide some senior leadership?
Hannah Pamplico HS – Could the Lady Red Raiders battle for a playoff spot this season?
Watching Legette play last season you would have never known she was just a freshman. Makayla plays the game very mature for her age and that showed in her stats last season.
Legette is the Preseason Prep Girls Hoops Player of the Year this season.rnMakayla averaged 21.4 ppg, 5.3 rebounds and 3.8 steals last season for the (15-6) Lady Vikings. Keep in mind Latta HS dropped down to Class 1A this for this year. Legette is a bucket getter on the floor and that comes from all 3 levels on the floor. She will handle the rock well and is a pass first guard for the most part at times. Makayla plays the game with really good court awareness.
Hamilton plays down in the post for the Lady Wild Gators. Tianna gets position down low and generally plays just a few feet away from the cup. Hamilton averaged 9.4 ppg and 6.3 rebounds last season.
Jaleya brings GREAT ENERGY to the floor at all times for the Lady Wild Gators. She can connect on some short jumpers or leak out in transition for cheapies at times. Ford averaged 15 ppg, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals last season for Lake View HS. Jaleya enters her junior season with 665 career points. Could she reach 1,000 points this coming season?
Page really likes to play the game at times with some emotion. She has no problems chatting up with the opponent at times. Gwendasia averaged 8.5 ppg and 7 rebounds last season. She likes to swarm the ball on defense and create some havoc.
Bethea likes to play off the ball while setting up shop on the perimeter. Look for Shawniza to try and connect from downtown whenever she has the chance.
Some teams might be utilizing some young players on the roster this coming season. Look for Green Sea Floyds to have Shantavia Hilliard Shantavia Hilliard 5'6" | SG Green Sea Floyds | 2027 State SC and Claire Stroud see good minutes. This duo played last season as 8th graders for the Lady Trojans.
Kardae McFadden Kardae McFadden 5'7" | SG Latta | 2025 State SC (2025) and Kaliya Herman Kaliya Herman 5'2" | SG Trinity Collegiate | 2026 State SC (2026) will be looked upon to help with some scoring for the Latta HS Lady Vikings. McFadden averaged 5.6 ppg while Herman chipped in at 7.3 ppg.
