Andrews HS – The Lady Yellow Jackets will rely on Shaniya Coachman Shaniya Coachman 5'7" | SF Andrews | 2025 SC to lead the way.
McGee seems to best suited playing off the ball with her ability to hit shots on the perimeter. Takiyah has a scorer’s mentality on the floor. Look for her to set up shop out behind the three-point line. McGee is the Prep Girls Hoops Preseason Region Player of the Year this season. rnThe newly formed Lady Blazers will add some pieces to the roster this season from C.E. Murray HS.
Rembert is a post player for the Lady Stallions. Shadae has a long and slender frame to get disruptive at times in the passing lanes. She must get stronger with the ball in her hands and look to develop a post move or two down low at times. She runs the floor very well and fills the lane in transition.
Makayla runs the show out top for the Lady Blazers. Dukes is a vocal leader from the point guard position. Makayla keeps the ball low to the floor and rarely turns it over. She tends to make good decisions and passes to set up her teammates along the way.
Pitts should see some quality minutes this season for the Lady Stallions. Natalie plays the game very aggressively for her age. She shows to have a good skill set with the ability to post up or play face-up out on the wing. Natalie really likes to have the ball in her hands and try to make things happen by attacking the rack at times.
Highlights
Shaniya will be counted on heavily this season for the Lady Yellow Jackets to provide some scoring punch. The Lady Yellow Jackets really struggled last season. Shaniya plays the game with some passion and from time to time can drop the short jumper. She plays extremely hard on both ends of the floor. Coachman is going to have to figure out a lot of things this season for this Yellow Jackets to make some noise.
Holmes is the daughter of former Lee Central HS basketball great Michael Holmes. Mykeriyah is fairly new to the game of basketball. She really has a great set of hands and knows how to play physical down low in the paint. Holmes plays for her aunt and Head Coach Patrice Holmes on this Lady Stallions roster. Mykeriyah is a good passer from the high post position, and she understands how to work from side to side on the court. Her best basketball is still in front of her down the road that’s for sure.
What players will stand up and lead Marion HS this season? Miracle Samuels and Jaeda Davis will take centerstage for the Lady Swampcats.
The talent doesn’t stop for the Lady Blazers at Kingstree HS. Lookout for a few 8th graders to contribute this season in Naydia Shaw Naydia Shaw 6'0" | PF Kingstree | 2027 State SC and Jaiden McKnight Jaiden McKnight 5'7" | SF Kingstree | 2027 State SC . Shaw caught our attention this past season at an event in Florence. Shaw plays the game very mature and physical for her age already.
