The United NJ AAU product has developed quickly over the past year or so and has gotten the playing time to back it up at IHA. This crafty point guard knows how to score in the lane and shoots well from distance. Her senior year at IHA should be a fun one to keep tabs on.

This is the first time in quite some time on this page that we've gotten to talk about an Ivy League commit, let alone a Harvard commit, but that's exactly what [player_tooltip player_id='406947' first='Nina' last='Emnace'] announced on October 9.

The junior from Trinity Hall had herself quite a sophomore season, knocking down 39 threes and scoring 16.4 points per game, as well as recording nearly four steals a game. Her jump in production from her freshman to sophomore year was a big one and she's been deservingly awarded now with a future spot on a Division 1 women's basketball roster.

The 6-3 forward possesses quite a bit of raw talent that hopefully we'll see more come out this season for the Lady Lancers. However, she's most definitely shown great defensive and offensive abilities off the bench for SJV. Her senior season should present her with a starting job and more playing time, meaning more time to showcase her skills.

Oct. 10: Paige Gorczyca (2023) commits to Stevens

Westfield won its first-ever state championship last season and Paige Gorczyca was one of the main reasons for that success. Now, she's going to be playing basketball at the next level, announcing on October 10 that she'll be continuing her basketball career at Stevens Institute of Technology.

A very versatile player in her own right, Gorczyca did a bit of everything on the floor last season for the Blue Devils: scoring, rebounding, shooting, passing, etc. Her numbers were balanced and she posted career-highs in a number of categories, including points per game, assists per game, steals per game and more.

Hall played her way onto the recruiting boards of college programs after averaging 12.1 PPG and 6.6 RPG last season, along with nearly one block, steal and made three-pointer a game. She was consistent and improved as the season went on. Then, playing for NJ Freedom over the summer, she balled out and impressed on the floor.

Oct. 10: [player_tooltip player_id='404231' first='Ava' last='Hyams'] (2023) commits to Worcester Polytechnic

Our fourth and final college commitment made on October 10 came from Kearny standout [player_tooltip player_id='404231' first='Ava' last='Hyams'], coming off her best season by a wide margin. She announced her commitment to play for Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Talk about a statement year made by the senior, but Hyams balled out as a junior, averaging 14.6 PPG and nine rebounds a game for the Kardinals. She excelled also as a passer, defender and perimeter shooter, really balancing out her game and showcasing that she's really a jack of all trades. Expect a double-double season out of her as a senior.
