This league has some great schools in the area and even beyond competing against one another as a warm up for their upcoming high school seasons. With four games going on at once, there are many athletes to highlight. Here are some of the seniors that showed their abilities on the court.
Trinity Hairston
Trinity Hairston
Trinity Hairston used her height and length on both ends of the court. She had some springs in her shoes jumping in front of passes deflecting them on the defensive side of the ball. She had a high jump shot, too, showing off her range shooting over her opponents.
Leila Walden
Leila Walden
Leila Walden was constantly getting involved in the play whether she was running an offensive possession or grabbing a steal on defense. She was aggressive knocking the ball away from her opponents, and she didn’t shy away from driving hard to the basket. She had a nice jump shot right in her defender’s face.
Somer Johnson
Somer Johnson
Somer Johnson really showed great court awareness using fakes to get around her opponents finding the open lane. She had some nice passes wrapping around her opponent to get them to her teammate. On defense, she was constantly causing problems moving and deflecting passes.
Jadyiah Peoples Jadyiah Peoples 5’8″ | SF Lexington | 2023 State NC is certainly a pesky defender. She was constantly knocking the ball away or simply blocking the path for her opponents to get to the hoop. She dives on the floor going after loose balls, too. She drove hard downhill and finished through contact for some old fashioned three point plays.

Icesis Nwafor
Icesis Nwafor was constantly moving on offense finding ways to get involved. She flashed in the paint grabbing the pass and scoring the bucket through contact. On defense, she was grabbing steals and taking it coast to coast scoring some solo fast break points.
Kyla Bryant Kyla Bryant 5’8″ | CG Salisbury | 2023 State NC has such good vision on the court constantly finding ways to get her teammates the ball. She is quick moving downhill, and she is great when it comes to getting to the hoop for her own points. She crashes the boards even scoring some points off of offensive rebounds. Her hands were constantly involved on defense, too.
Aleysha Hill Aleysha Hill 5’0″ | PG Asheville | 2023 State NC used her quickness on both ends of the court. She was jumping into passing lanes and driving hard to the basket. Contact didn’t phase her getting some old fashioned three point plays. Her vision was great, too, finding ways to get the ball inside to some of her teammates looking to score.
