Class of 2023 Starting 5, Orange County

This will be these ladies final year of High School basketball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Sophyia Barreiro</strong> 5'2" PG Colonial/Team Knight<img class="wp-image-382768" style="width: 150px;" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/01/Barreiro-Conoinal-2023.jpg" alt=""></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Barreiro is a super feisty guard that plays with a tenacious level of energy and vigor. Able to split the defender and get to the rack. She has really improved her outside shooting skill over the last few years. A true leader for the loaded Grenadier team that went to State Final Four last year in the 7A Class. Should be an exciting year for her and her team. Carter has played well over the years for the Highlanders and Coach Al Honor. She is a crafty player that sees the floor very well and plays well in the up-tempo offense. She can knock down the 3 ball and get to the cup with ease. Look forward to watching her play during this final season. She has the ability to do everything. She has extremely skilled with excellent moves to the basket. She sees the floor very well, making on target, on time passes to her teammates. Kitts can knock down any shot on the floor, while being able to stop on a dime. She has a very bubbly, infectious positive attitude. Santos has showed a high level of skill playing for the Grenadiers over the last three years. A quick guard that is tough to get to the basket. A smart player that uses her body to get the foul, and finish with the contact. Santos can hit the outside jump shot, especially the three balls. She plays on a loaded Hornets team that is looking to make some noise on the upcoming season. She can get to the cup and finish. A good team player that passes the ball very well.
