Here is a look at some of the top forwards that we watched on Monday.
Mele Taula (William Chrisman): The 5’9 2023 forward plays a textbook low post game with sound fundamentals and good footwork. She has a nice touch and she can score through contact. She is also attacking from the perimeter off the dribble more and she’s effective at it.
Karlee Ellick (Neosho): The 6’2 2023 forward was very good at both ends of the court. She finishes well with either hand inside and she passes well out of a double team. She also plays good positional defense and she can block shots with her length.
Kaitlyn Morgan (Lathrop): A 5’10” 2024 forward who did an excellent job making hustle plays at both ends of the court. She’s very active in the post as she can deflect and steal passes coming inside. She works the offensive boards well to get putbacks.
Lauren Stone (Platte County): A 5’10” 2025 who has a versatile skill set to go with her height. She has a quick first step to the basket and she uses ball fakes well. She’s also effective when she goes into the post.
Peyton Wohlford Peyton Wohlford 6'2" | SF Smithville | 2025 State MO (Smithville): A 6’1 2025 forward who can stretch the defense with her ability to knock down 3-pointers. She’s also very mobile and she runs the court well. She also has a nice dribble move off the jab step.
Joslyn Hupp (Platte County): A 5’10 2023 forward who is a good worker in the post with her activity. She can seal defenders and score inside. She also has a nice pull up jumper from 10 to 12 feet.
