really was; who I am on and off the court. I’m like an onion, I’ve got a lot of layers haha! Yeah I’m respectful, kind, and genuine, but I’m also funny, outspoken, and outgoing. I can cook, man oh man can I cook; I have a few recipes for Jamaican, Asian, Mexican, Soul, Arabic and Italian cuisine, all taught to me from my mother, grandfather, and the trial and errors of my experiments in the kitchen.
Singing is another part of what makes me, me. Ever since I could remember, I have been singing in the choir at Church of the Living God temple #230 and that’s where my love for music really grew. I noticed that when I sing it relieves some of my stress, along with writing music. When life is just kicking me and I start to feel overwhelmed with everything, I write and it feels as if the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders every time and I can only thank my father for introducing me to the art of writing music and putting your heart and soul into songs.
On top of those major hobbies I even do a little sewing on the side; I would just watch my mom take her needle and thread and get to work and I eventually developed the skill through observation. What can I say I’m a jack of all trades.
All of these attributes contribute to helping me take care of my family, whether it’s letting my mom rest and cooking dinner for the fam or sewing a hole in my brother’s compression sleeve before a big game. My mom, dad, sister, and two younger brothers are a huge part of my world and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. They have supported me, and still continue to do so, as I travel through the journey of going pro. I thank God for blessing me with family, friends, life, and my dope personality I get to share with the world.
A lot of people in the Arizona basketball scene don’t truly know who I am or how I’ve only been playing for 4 years now, but I’m here to set the record straight…it’s go time and if you don’t know who I am now, you will by the end of the season!!
