Top Performances:
Lauren Jacobs Lauren Jacobs 5'9" | PG Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC is a new addition to Heathwood Hall this season after winning a State Championship last season at Cardinal Newman. Lauren got to basket very easily tonight on her way to scoring 27 points. She was able to create her own scoring opportunities on by attacking the cup or showing some of her perimeter shooting skills.
Campbell Elizabeth Delaney Campbell Elizabeth Delaney 5'7" | SF Orangeburg Prep | 2023 State SC has been the leader of this Lady Indians program for the past few years. Delaney joined the 1,000 point club last season for Orangeburg Prep. Campbell scored a tough 10 points in the opening round win over Florence Christian.
Aubrey Payne was a new name for the Prep Girls Hoops database with her play yesterday. Payne is a physical post player who really looks to carve out space down in the paint for the Wilson Hall Academy Lady Barons. Aubrey was able to finish around the cup and tended to stay close to the basket whole game long. Payne a junior finished with 12 points in the victory.
Highlanders Trio:
Lauren Jacobs Lauren Jacobs 5'9" | PG Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC , Camillea Gore Camillea Gore 6'0" | SG Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC and Sabreya Monsanto Sabreya Monsanto 5'11" | SF Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC have the Lady Highlanders trending in the right direction this year. The future looks bright for this trio which also shares the court together with A’ja Wilson Elite 2025 on the Grassroots Circuit. This trio are all ranked in the Top 20 of the Palmetto State 2025 Class. Anyone of these ladies can step-up and take the lead on any given game night.
2027 Class
Maliyah English Maliyah English 5'5" | CG Thomas Sumter Academy | 2027 State SC and her Thomas Sumter Academy Lady Generals lost a tough one to neighborhood rival Wilson Hall Academy today. English never seemed to leave the floor. Maliyah looked to attack the cup as much as possible tonight.
Missing in Action:
Rania Curry Rania Curry 5'11" | SG Butler | 2025 State GA a year ago made her name playing at Augusta Christian. A year has past and Curry is now at school in Columbus, GA at Carver HS.
X’Zoria Vaughn X’Zoria Vaughn 5'4" | PG Pinewood Prep | 2024 State SC was not dressed to play for Pinewood Prep. Vaughn a junior was on the bench cheering on her teammates in a victory over Augusta Christian.

Florence Christian plays an 8th grader, freshman and 3 seniors in the starting lineup. Emerson Poston Emerson Poston 5'4" | PG Florence Christian | 2027 State SC just a 8th grader logged a lot of minutes in the backcourt. Mary Margaret Sterling Mary Margaret Sterling 5'4" | CG Florence Christian | 2023 State SC , Z’nei Middleton and Madison Cash all seniors will provide leadership this season. Sterling was able to connect on a few mid-range jumpers today while Middleton never left the floor it seemed while playing extremely active in the passing lanes. Cash a left-handed post player really plays the game as a mover-screener on the floor.
