It was a great event where the proceeds went to benefit those who are struggling with or caring for people with cancer. Here are some of the standout 2023 athletes from the event.
Tymber Thompson
Tymber Thompson
Tymber Thompson did a nice job moving block to block to get the pass, and she knew how to make her move to the hoop. She had a nice up and under move, and she also used shot fakes to get by. She was constantly battling contact, and she made it count from the free throw line. She was always in position to grab the rebound. She made smart flashes in the paint ready to grab the pass and score some points. She could work her way to the block with her dribbles being aggressive with her moves.
Jenna Barnes scored the first points off a nice inbounds play cutting hard to the block and scoring two points. She stayed in the right position grabbing rebounds for her team. She clogged the paint blocking shots and grabbing the steal. She makes nice moves with the ball faking her defenders out on the block to have a clear shot for her points. She had a strong drive late in the game making it an old fashioned three point play when her team needed to cut into the lead of their opponents.
Landyn Stewart
Landyn Stewart
Landyn Stewart knows how to keep her opponent in front of her in the paint and waits for the perfect time to block their shot leading to a steal for her team. She gets lost on the defense catching the pass and putting it right through the hoop, and she converts from the free throw line when she has to go against contact. She makes sure she is in position to grab rebounds, too.

Laurel Zlotkowski
Laurel Zlotkowski is sneaky getting behind her defenders cutting backdoor for the pass and some points. She doesn’t shy away from contact battling inside for some points. She scored two contested points on the block using power dribbles and hustled right back to grab the steal on defense late in the fourth quarter to extend the lead. Zlotkowski is a nice clean up player getting the loose balls and grabbing offensive rebounds for some points. She hit a nice three in transition knowing how to get out to the open space as her point guard drove the ball. She executes plays knowing how to turn and face the basket and check for teammates making backdoor cuts.
Jadyn Newsome is patient waiting to fill in the gap to catch the pass and score some points. She can control the ball on the block, and she has a nice midrange jumper, too. Her wingspan was causing problems for her opponents while she played defense including on a solo press where she grabbed the steal and earned some points from the free throw line. She ended a scoring draught for her team grabbing the steal on a press and making a three point play battling through contact and finishing at the free throw line. She had a nice blocked shot in the paint.
