Jadyn Newsome Jadyn Newsome 5'10" | SF Northern Guilford | 2023 NC has certainly been able to reach the 1000 point milestone due to her versatility.  She can handle herself on the block posting up or sliding into the opening being ready for the pass and bucket.  She expands the court knocking down shots from deep as well.  She uses her basketball IQ on both ends of the court getting her hands involved on defense inhibiting from her opponents from getting a play going whether she jumps into passing lanes for a steal, grabs the rebound, or blocks a shot.  

Jadyn Newsome is patient waiting to fill in the gap to catch the pass and score some points.  She can control the ball on the block, and she has a nice midrange jumper, too.  Her wingspan was causing problems for her opponents while she played defense including on a solo press where she grabbed the steal and earned some points from the free throw line.  She ended a scoring draught for her team grabbing the steal on a press and making a three point play battling through contact and finishing at the free throw line.  She had a nice blocked shot in the paint.

Jadyn Newsome Jadyn Newsome 5'10" | SF Northern Guilford | 2023 NC was flashing in and out of the paint making effective cuts and showing a big target to get the pass.  She laid it in easily even through contact.  She runs the floor being ready on offense to score on fast breaks.  She can knock down shots from around the perimeter, too.  She was constantly deflecting passes, and she can push it up the court to score two points.

Jadyn Newsome Jadyn Newsome 5'10" | SF Northern Guilford | 2023 NC spends most of her time scoring around the block, but she doesn’t have to start there to score some points.  She can score when getting the ball at the top of the key and take it to the hoop herself.  She can turn and score starting with her back to the basket as well.  She has certainly been expanding the court showing off her jump shot, and she runs the floor well being able to score and handle the ball quickly in transition.  She uses every bit of her length on defense to protect the basket as well.
