Speed kills. Tabby’s quickness to every ball helps distance herself from other guards in the area. While she has impressive athleticism, Curtis doesn’t get out of control. She play unselfish ball, unwilling to force bad shots. Britiya is a dangerous shooter that can score off the catch or dribble. When she attacks downhill, Curtis has a floater she likes to use to combat length. Her reaction time on defense helps her to change directions in a blink and force turnovers. She tallied 15 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. Curtis is a nice D-II prospect.
Following behind Britiya Curtis Britiya Curtis 5’7″ | CG Calhoun | 2023 State GA , Dorsey has a lot of similarities in her game. The sophomore is unselfish and provides great effort defensively, playing with a steady motor. Dorsey showed touch by dropping in three floaters. As Calhoun pulled away in the fourth quarter, Sa’Niah expanded her range, knocking down a three off the dribble. Dorsey posted 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals. Her and Curtis play well off each other and are both impactful two-way guards.
Highlights
Lauren Watson
Lauren Watson
With Kat Atha unavailable with an ankle sprain, Lauren Watson filled the void with her sharpshooting. The three-point specialist burned the South Paulding 2-3 zone with six of Calhoun’s 10 threes, netting a game-high 18 points. Watson was always ready to catch and fire and had a quick trigger when she had space.
I came away impressed with VanDyke in my first viewing. Lana has a sturdy frame and understands how to use her body. Lana ran the floor in transition for easy hoops and in the halfcourt, would take her time to post up and backdown defenders. She was a threat to put the ball on the floor from within 10-feet, scoring on short drives with both hands. Lana was an effective rebounder and did a nice job helping clog the lane. VanDyke double-doubled with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 2 blocks. She should be on D-II/D-III radars.

Reecia Gault
Reecia Gault
Gault is an imposing figure inside. She is a big strong body and isn’t afraid to throw her weight around. Reecia does a good job of squaring her shoulders and showcased a drop step to score over her left shoulder. Gault has a good-looking jumper and went 3-4 from the foul line. She had 7 points and 3 rebounds. Gault could be an interesting late pickup for D-III/NAIA schools looking for some size to develop.
