Hannah Williams Hannah Williams 6'1" | PF Salpointe Catholic | 2025 State AZ – is a 6-1 sophomore power forward for Salpointe Catholic High School and her club team, AZ Supreme. She went to a basketball training camp at Occidental College in California last summer to hone her skills. Salpointe Catholic won their first State Championship last winter, defeating Flagstaff in the 4A Championship game, 65-48. Playing for Head Coach Joseph Luevano, Hannah was named second-team All-Region as a freshman. She played extensively during the spring and summer with her club team, AZ Supreme, traveling to a number of tournaments in Indianapolis and Atlanta. One scout commented on her game: “She is a solid presence who runs the floor well and has great inside scoring ability. She is a big-time prospect.” Hannah had a double-double earlier this month – 16 points and 12 rebounds – in a 53-52 win over Seton Catholic. As a freshman, she averaged 5.9 points per game and 5.4 rebounds.
EVALUATION: Hannah, as a sophomore, is already a top college prospect. She is an outstanding all-around player that will only improve during her last three years of high school. She helped Salpointe Catholic to their first State Championship last March as a freshman. The Lancers are loaded again this season and should make another long run into the 2023 playoffs. Hannah protects the rim at both ends of the court and poses as a tremendous inside-the-paint scoring threat.
Dianalynn Howell Dianalynn Howell 5'10" | PF Dream City Christian | 2025 State AZ is a 5-11 sophomore power forward who plays for Betty Fairfax High School, as well as her club team, SW Premier. This season, to date, she is averaging 11.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. She had a double-double earlier this month in a game vs. Apollo High School. She had 14 points and 14 rebounds. As a freshman, she was selected as Player of the Game in a contest last December and also had seven steals in a game last February against Metro Tech. With her club team, Dianalynn played in many tournaments throughout the spring and summer including ones in both Chicago and Indiana.
EVALUATION: Dianalynn is a ‘steals machine’ with great anticipation on defense as well as having lightning-quick hands and feet. She has at least one steal in each game she’s played this season and had seven steals in one game as a freshman. She is also the ultimate defender and makes all of her teammates better. She is improving game-by-game as both a scorer and rebounder.
Mackenzie Buckner Mackenzie Buckner 6'0" | PF Bella Vista Prep | 2025 State AZ is a 6-0 sophomore power forward for Betty Fairfax High School. To date, she is averaging 15 points per game, 8 rebounds, and 2.8 steals. She had a double-double earlier this year with a win over Washington High School (13 points and 12 rebounds). Mackenzie also had another double-double with a win over Central High School (20 points and 11 rebounds). She was selected by Max Preps as Player of the Game against Alhambra in December 2021. Fairfax lost to Ironwood in the AIA playoffs last February, 54-51 although she had 13 points and 14 rebounds in the game. Mackenzie played in 18 varsity games as a freshman, averaging 12.9 points and 10.4 rebounds. As a sophomore, through the early part of the season, she is shooting 54% from the floor. Max Preps named her Player of the Game six different times as a freshman. She opened up the 2022-2023 season with an outstanding game against Central – 20 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and five steals.
EVALUATION: Mackenzie is an amazing all-around player, both offensively and defensively. She has improved her scoring and rebounding. going from a strong freshman season and transitioning to being a sophomore. She is also a tenacious defender and has shown many leadership skills, both on and off the court.
AYANNA GOOD is a 5-9 sophomore power forward who plays for both North High School in Phoenix as well as her club team, Sports Academy Swish. This season, through the first six games, she is averaging 12.8 points per game and 2.7 rebounds per game. She was recently selected as Player of the Game by Max Preps in a December last game vs. South Mountain. Ayanna had four three-pointers in the game. She was also Player of the Game in another contest vs. Marcos De Niza in which she had 19 points. As a freshman, playing in 20 varsity games, she averaged 9.0 points and 2.6 rebounds. Entering her sophomore season, she has been Player of the Game a total of six different times including four as a freshman. In another game vs. South Mountain, she had five three-pointers for the Lady Mustangs. In another game against South Mountain, Ayanna hit six of seven threes, in a 57-17 win.
EVALUATION: Ayanna is an outstanding scorer, especially from beyond the arc (she made six of seven three-pointers in one game as a freshman). She also has displayed strong leadership skills. She plays well in transition, and, as a defender, she usually guards her opponent’s best player.
Kamara Moss Kamara Moss 6'0" | C Sandra Day O'Connor | 2025 State AZ is a 6-0 sophomore power forward who plays for Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale. Her dream is to play basketball in college as well as be a member of Team USA. She played with her club team last spring and summer, participating in the Girls UA Rise Championships as well as the Select Events Summer Championships. As a freshman, Kamara played primarily on the junior varsity team and averaged 7.9 points per game. As a sophomore, she is a member of the varsity squad, playing under Head Coach Jaime Carreon.
EVALUATION: Kamara is a work in progress who has shown tremendous improvement in her overall game, both offensively and defensively. Having played an extensive spring and summer schedule with her AAU team – Arizona Elite 15U Gold – she helped refine her overall skills. Kamara played primarily with the junior varsity as a freshman but is now playing serious minutes as a sophomore on the varsity.
