While there were only six teams, there was plenty of great basketball to be had. Here are Thursday’s standout performers.
Emma Peretti Emma Peretti 5'11" | PF Hammonton | 2023 State NJ – Hammonton (2023)
A top forward in the state and in the 2023 class, Peretti was dominant as usual for Hammonton, but in a losing effort, putting up a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double. It’s her fourth-consecutive double-double and fifth in six games so far this season. She also added a season-high four blocks into the mix.
Ava Divello Ava Divello 5'9" | SG Hammonton | 2023 State NJ – Hammonton (2023)
The senior guard for the Blue Devils was active on all accounts of the game on Thursday, scoring eight points, hauling in six rebounds and recording a block in her fourth-straight game. Divello also hit two three-pointers and recorded two steals, having a stellar season so far for Hammonton.
Ellia Oteri – Moorestown (2026)
Oteri has played in just two games so far with Moorestown, but what an impact she had in a big win over Hammonton, scoring a game-high 10 points while recording a block and steal in the process. We haven’t seen much of her to date, just two games, but this one is a great sign of things to come without a doubt.
Analyze Intenzo – Moorestown (2026)
The freshman influence at Moorestown has been significant to say the least, especially for Intenzo, scoring in double-figures for the third-straight game, with 10 points, six rebounds, a steal and a block. She’s nearly averaging 10 PPG so far for the Quakers and should be a looming threat for this team as time goes on.
Alexis Davis Alexis Davis 6'0" | SF Woodbury | 2023 State NJ – Woodbury (2023)
What more is there to say about someone who joined the 1.5K point club and 1K rebound club on Saturday following a 29-point, 20-rebound double-double for the Thundering Herd. Davis is giving Hannah Hidalgo Hannah Hidalgo 5'7" | PG Paul VI | 2023 State NJ a run for her money as the best player in New Jersey this season and what a senior year she’s having so far.
Kadirah Sanders Kadirah Sanders PF Paulsboro | 2023 State NJ – Woodbury (2023)
A fellow senior for Woodbury, Sanders also posted a double-double alongside Davis on Thursday, a 10-point, 10-rebound effort in a big win over Williamstown. This was Sanders’ first double-double of the season and fifth game with 10 or more rebounds already.
Iriona Gravley Iriona Gravley 6'1" | PF Williamstown | 2024 State NJ – Williamstown (2024)
Gravley posted a double-double for Williamstown in a tough loss against Woodbury, with 16 points and 14 rebounds, grinding out shots in the paint for the Braves. Just a great performance from a great player and someone we’re really excited to continue to follow this season.
Alivia Mauz Alivia Mauz 5'7" | PG Williamstown | 2025 State NJ – Williamstown (2025)
If you’re looking for one of the best passers in the state, look no further than Mauz, who put on a show Thursday with eight assists to go along with a team-high 17 points for Williamstown. She’s already got 22 through her first four games of the season, including a season-high against Woodbury.
Gabby Recinto Gabby Recinto 5'10" | SF Cherokee | 2023 State NJ – Cherokee (2023)
Recinto had everything working for Cherokee on Thursday, scoring 25 points for the Chiefs en route to a 45-30 win over fellow South Jersey power Clearview. The lane was hers and she took full advantage of the mismatches and easy scoring opportunities, absolutely bodying players and just making her presence felt early and often.
Ana Pellecchia Ana Pellecchia 5'9" | SG Clearview | 2024 State NJ – Clearview (2024)
Already in top form, the lefty sharp-shooter for Clearview scored 12 points in the 15-point loss to Cherokee, holding her own against a tough team that knows how to shut teams down on defense. We know what to expect with Pellecchia, a crafty guard who can get to the basket and shoot from deep, so we’re excited to watch more of that this season.
