Let’s take a look at some of the transfers in New Jersey for the coming season.
We know there’s plenty more, so please let us know who and where we missed!
Molly Frith Molly Frith 5'4" | PG Holy Cross | 2025 State NJ – 5-3 PG, Holy Cross (2025)
Frith was a solid piece at Delran last season and really developed well, something that’s a very encouraging sign for Holy Cross, who she’ll be playing for this season. An undersized guard, Frith is crafty with the ball and knows when and how to make plays, but knows how to get everyone involved. She runs the point intelligently and with maturity.
Kaylan Deveney Kaylan Deveney 6'4" | PF Life Center Academy | 2023 State NJ – 6-3 PF, Life Center Academy (2023)
Deveney made the move from Shawnee, where she was incredibly successful in a great offense run by the Renegades. However, in moving to a place in LCA where she’ll be getting much more national exposure, she’s really relished in the opportunity. Listed as a power forward, Deveney plays as a stretch four and can move around the floor and make plays with ease. She’s also a fantastic perimeter shooter with a great touch.
Kiyomi McMiller Kiyomi McMiller 5'8" | PG Life Center Academy | 2024 State NJ – 5-7 PG, Life Center Academy (2024)
How lucky we are as a site that covers girls basketball in New Jersey to have one of the best prospects in the 2024 class, nationally, come to the Garden State to play at Life Center. We can’t sing her praises enough, just an incredible talent with so much playmaking ability and insane ball-handling skills. Quick and shifty, McMiller can knock down big shots, drive into the lane for a tough two and can cause big defensive stops the other way.
Bliss Vimbor Bliss Vimbor 5'10" | SG Morris Catholic | 2024 NJ – 5-10 SG, Morris Catholic (2024)
Morris Catholic has restocked and refueled this season, adding two major impact transfers in Vimbor and Alexis Rosenfeld Alexis Rosenfeld 6'2" | C Morris Catholic | 2024 State NJ . Beginning with the tall shooting guard, Vimbor has shown us a lot in AAU play as to what she can become on the basketball court. Able to shoot in on-ball and off-ball situations, Vimbor has a quick trigger and will dribble penetrate the lane if that look isn’t there.
Alexis Rosenfeld Alexis Rosenfeld 6'2" | C Morris Catholic | 2024 State NJ – 6-2 WING/PF, Morris Catholic (2024)
We have to add some sort of a wing option in our rankings list because while Rosenfeld is a fantastic post player, with the size and length to post up on anyone and make plays, she’s much more than that. She’s versatile at 6-2 and can do a lot with the ball, playing much more as a stretch four or just a stretch forward in general, making athletic plays to spread the floor for her teammates.
Kaylynn Blackwell – 6-0 PF, Absegami (2024)
Blackwell comes into the Garden State from Western Reserve Academy in Ohio, a place where she averaged 19 and 16 in a very small sample size before an injury has sidelined her significantly in high school. However, that size is something that cannot be taught and in the preseason with Absegami, she’s impressed with her athleticism and mobility down low.
Destiny Wallace Destiny Wallace SF Wildwood Catholic Academy | 2024 State NJ – 5-8 G, Wildwood Catholic (2024)
The 2024 class is represented in full force in this article and Wallace is no different, a transfer from Vineland who had a decent sophomore season and moved to the Crusaders to find that extra gear in her game. She’s had a limited impact to begin things at WC, but her offensive skillset and defensive presence is one that will not be lost in the shuffle this season.
Taylor Acker – 5-8 SF, Montgomery (2023)
Acker has been one of the focal points of Montgomery so far this season, making her impact felt immediately. Averaging 13.5 PPG and 7.5 RPG in her first two games in NJ, she’s been active on both sides of the ball and has brought stability in both facets of the game for the Cougars. Adding another senior leader to the roster has also brought with it leadership and maturity for a program looking to be a competitor in the Skyland.
