Langham Creek
Aniyah Sanford Aniyah Sanford 5'5" | PG Langham Creek | 2023 State TX – 5’3 PG [2023]
Sanford smoothly ran the offense, no surprise there as she has shown time and time again her ability to not only run a team but control the tempo. Her pinpoint passes for assists helped contribute to their on-the-road victory, she had 5, but she also came away with some huge steals to go along with her solid defensive performance
Eryn Lloyd-5’4 SG [2023]
Lloyd has expanded her game from primarily a defensive stopper to a scoring guard, both off the dribble as well as from outside. Her quickness off the dribble enabled her to get to the basket to either score or dish. What was more impressive is watching her drop the long ball, she has worked on it and it will pay dividends
Heather Baymon Heather Baymon 5'6" | PG Langham Creek | 2024 State TX -5’6 CG [2024]
Baymon went completely off dropping 32 points including 6/9 from VERY deep and although I don’t go by scoresheet, that was impressive against a quality team, “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against. She also played the passing lane as well as some solid “on the ball” defense yet she also hit the boards and saw the floor
Brooke Prevost–G/F [2026]
Prevost came off the bench to almost score in double digits and with her being a freshman, on this team and performing in this setting was huge
Fort Bend Austin
India Jackson India Jackson 5'10" | PF Fort Bend Austin | 2023 State TX -5’10 PF [2023]
Jackson falls into that “double-double” waiting-to-happen category. I love watching her go after rebounds on both ends yet her sheer strength and power inside the paint create problems over and over. She scores with players literally hanging on her but her interior defense doesn’t go unnoticed and when you factor in her running the floor on both ends…
Kelechi Dike-5’11 SF [2023]
Dike is long and athletic, one more time, that is and will always be the base. Here’s the kicker, she understands how to use her athleticism on both ends with impressive time to block shots as well as reading the floor and playing the passing lane. Her defense is solid, inside and outside the paint, and her first step is also hard to handle as she accelerates and scores over defenders
Aminah Dixon-5’6 SG [2025]
Dixon smoothly fills up the stat sheet. Yes, she can drop the mid to long-range very well but part of that is because she understands how to create her shot under pressure. She also scores off the dribble with either hand and uses solid body control to finish. She plays within herself, sees the floor, and does a good job defensively
Andrea Sturdivant Andrea Sturdivant 5'6" | SG Fort Bend Austin | 2025 State TX -5’7 PG [2025]
Sturdivant is one of the state’s fastest guards “with the ball” and under control so trying to stay with her in the open court is a problem. She saw the floor well, no looks on the money had me rewinding the video a few times, and so did her NBA three pointers. Even in the set, her explosive first step enabled her to get to the rim and score but she also does a good job “on the ball” defensively
