First 4
Chelsey Singleton-5’7 SG (Cy Ranch) 2023
Singleton hit at least 5 from deep, I thought it was more but the announcer did a pretty good job with the play-by-play but so did she. She understands how to mix it up offensively so she can drive and score or dish yet her ability to “catch and shoot” still stands out. She played solid defense, as well as played the passing lane
Paris Anderson-5’8 SG (Elkins) 2024
Anderson just brought on both ends, I love seeing players that play the same way no matter what the score is and quick hands got her some steals, and so did playing the passing lane. She created her shot under pressure to attack the basket or drop the jumper yet she also showed the stop and pop in transition
Cheyenne Trusclair-5’8 SF (Elkins) 2025
Trusclair has a very nice first step and not only did she score off the dribble and finish after contact, but she also showed she could create contact which isn’t easy. She’s long and athletic, which will always be the base, she rebounded on both ends and she played solid “on the ball” defense. On top of all of that, she showed good court vision
Averie Steele Averie Steele 6'2" | C Cy Ranch | 2026 State TX -6’0 PF (Cy Ranch) 2026
Steele is one of the top freshmen in Texas yet watching her rebound and go coast to coast was refreshing because it shows she’s been working. During one sequence, she finished after rebounding on the other end and dropped the FLOATA. Her hands and footwork have always been solid, and so was her scoring around the basket yet contact is irrelevant as she finishes strongly
Standouts
Cy Ranch
Tracy Matindu-5’8 SG [2023]
Matindu understands how to put the ball in the basket multiple ways and her ability to drop the midrange consistently, opens things up for her to attack and score
Jaeda Larry-5’8 SF [2023]
Larry did a good job not only defending but she showed she was another outside scoring threat dropping both the mid and long-range jumper
Ny’Kiah Jeffery-5’7 SG [2023]
Jeffery is back to where she was before an injury and her intensity on defense always stands out. She loves to “man-up” baseline to baseline plus she dives for loose balls
Daniella Vallecilla-6’4 C [2023]
Vallecilla has shown tremendous improvement from that initial sighting last year. With more agility around the rim, she also showed she could finish inside the paint as well as not only rebound, on both ends but run the floor, on both ends
Alexis Duhon Alexis Duhon 5'9" | SG Cy Ranch | 2024 State TX -5’7 CG [2024]
Duhon fills in so many blanks that she can hit the big shot to start or stop momentum as well as come up with a defensive play that ignites her team. She also as w the floor and played within herself
Samantha Truitt-5’7 SG [2025]
Truitt also didn’t do anything extra, she just played hard and under control and the numerous times she was on the floor got her that hashtag #THROWBACK. She also handled the ball and saw the floor under pressure
Elkins
Maddie Rhea-5’11 PF [2024]
Rhea was also “on the floor” several times going after loose balls yet she also battled for rebounds off the rim, on both ends. She showed some nice moves inside the paint and finished strongly
