Thursday was a light one on the schedule at Woodbridge High School, but the Woodbridge Holiday Classic brought the action and competitive nature with it. We saw two games played with just 11 points separation both games. Here's a look at the top performers from both games.

Autumn John - Piscataway (2023)

John has seen limited playing time over the past three years with Piscataway despite high production numbers, so fully healthy so far this season, she hopes it to be her best. A season-high 22 points in a 48-42 win over host Woodbridge is a great statement for what to expect the rest of the way.

[player_tooltip player_id='525416' first='Makayla' last='Williams'] - Piscataway (2025)

Williams is having a breakout start to this season for Piscataway after coming off the bench as a freshman, and a second double-figure scoring performance on Thursday with 11 points is a big step forward for her.

Angel Smith - Woodbridge (2026)

Smith, a freshman for Woodbridge, has wasted no time to get adjusted to the pace of high school basketball, scoring a career-high 18 points in Thursday's loss against Piscataway. She's been versatile on offense and a staunch defender on the other side of the ball. That steals per game average just keeps climbing it seems.

[player_tooltip player_id='482798' first='Isabel' last='Reyes'] - Woodbridge (2023)

Reyes is finding her stride this season and had another great performance against Piscataway, scoring 10 points in a loss, but staying consistent from the field and from beyond the arc, where she knocked down another three-pointer. She's hit one in each game this season for Woodbridge.

[player_tooltip player_id='325187' first='Ghelsey' last='Go'] - Edison (2024)

Go has been one of the focal points, if not the focal point of Edison this season, but what a display she put on at the foul line on Thursday, going 11-of-15 to finish with 17 points and 11 rebounds, her fourth double-double of the season. She's nearly averaging a double-double for the season and has been quite the sharp-shooter from beyond the arc as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='525412' first='Olivia' last='Smart'] - Edison (2025)

Smart has been seen as a much more effective rebounder this season for Edison, but on Thursday, the offense came around thanks to the foul line as she went 10-for-12 on foul shooting, finishing with 14 points and 14 rebounds. It's just her second double-double of her high school career and first of this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='482796' first='Leena' last='Tran'] - Old Bridge (2023)

Tran already surpassed her three-point total from last season in just six games, hitting 5 threes on Thursday, finishing with a team-high 16 points for Old Bridge. On this current pace, Tran is going to match her career three-point total in 12 games, but it's her scoring and rebounding consistency that excites us most this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='482803' first='Gabrielle' last='Walker'] - Old Bridge (2023)

Walker had her best offensive performance of the season for Old Bridge on Thursday in a close loss against Edison, aided by her ability to get to the foul line and make foul shots. She went 5-of-6, scoring a season-high 16 points while being a force as usual in the lane, where she made four field goals.
