Part 2 of my coverage from the MLK Showcase features several players on the verge of breaking out, including 6'4 Mya Tisdale. Remember I am a REAL EVALUATOR with a daughter who had over 100 D1 offers and plays in the WNBA #ThereIsNoMe.

Mya Tisdale

Tisdale is 6'4 so she's already over "the magic number" which is 6'0 and virtually assures her of playing somewhere at the next level. Her upside is extremely high, loved how she did things instinctively, especially with her timing as she made players change their shots, and even blocked a couple of shots. She rebounded on both ends, ran the floor, and showed a soft touch inside the paint, oh yeah, she's long and athletic, that will ALWAYS be the base

[player_tooltip player_id='900077' first='Tanner' last='Hopkins']

Hopkins was impressive off the top during the skillset training and her scrappiness grabbed my attention. She played within herself but she also did a good job of not only defending but understanding how to trap as well as switch. That same scrappiness translated nicely into the 5-on-5 session and she showed she create her shot under pressure

Makayla French

French created her shot to either take the defender off the dribble, deceptive first step played a part in that, but she also used the same creativity to get her jumper off. Her court vision was nice, passes were crisp and on the money but she also understood something very important, how to get hers "in the flow" and that, as well as solid defense, was nice

Addison Epp

Epp mixed it up nicely on the offensive by not only scoring around the paint but on putbacks as well, yes, she rebounded on both ends of the court. She also did a good of creating her shot and her slight HEZ got the defender leaning several times for her to attack the rim. She finished after contact but she also knocked down some jumpers however when I saw the "catch and shoot" that JUST DID IT for me

[player_tooltip player_id='885450' first='Josie' last='Cramer']

Cramer was another player that not only created her shot but knocked it down while being defended. She did a good job of creating spacing and she dropped it multiple ways including the "catch and shoot". She scored off the dribble, well she also dished off the dribble and her court vision was nice across the board. A solid defender that just kept applying heat

[player_tooltip player_id='1275506' first='Emily' last='Roman']

Roman scored off the dribble well, both in the skillset portion as well as the 5-on-5 action. She also showed the pull-up jumper in both, she set the defender up nicely several times with some fakes yet she kept them guessing because the FLOATA was effective. She made good decisions on her shot selection and knocked it down from outside

Sarah Aparicio

Aparicio is powerful, whether she's in the paint battling for rebounds and scoring on putbacks or attacking the basket fiercely and fearlessly, she made things happen, like scoring after contact. She also dropped it from outside, her midrange was amongst the best at the event, and so was her "catch and shoot" but on top of all of that, she played the passing lane

[player_tooltip player_id='747789' first='Caitlyn' last='Moyer']

Moyer showed me the midrange consistently in the skillset and again in the 5 on 5, I got it, yet toward the end of the day, she showed not only the long ball but the catch and shoot from BTA. Her first step is slick and deceptive as she gracefully gets by the defender but her defense as well as seeing her playing the passing lane was also impressive

Noelle Swanson

Swanson was another player that dropped the midrange consistently in both the skillset as well as the 5 on 5 but I enjoyed her set the defender up for the jumper just as much, she even dropped the stop and pop in transition. She hit the boards on both ends, played the passing lane, and handled the ball coast to coast while being pressured

[player_tooltip player_id='974874' first='Tofe' last='Onuwaje']

Onuwaje got after it on both ends and her "on the ball" defense was smothering at times. She's an athletic guard that understands how to use her athletic ability on both ends proving #sizedontmatter when you can play. She created her jumper while being pressured and she exploded to the basket off the dribble and finished strongly
