Continue ReadingZiel’s performance, both offensively and defensively, are a completely different level. She has such an impact- while opposing teams know she’s going to shoot, most find it difficult to contain her from scoring many points. Often double teamed and face guarded, she finds ways to get good looks. She finished with 34 points, and sealed the victory by making 6/6 free-throws in the final minutes of the game.

I love how Alex plays ball! Her hard work does not always show on stats, but boy she makes her presence felt! Great defensive pressure on ball, and you definitely do not want to be anywhere near a trap with her on D! Rebounds strong, great help side, communicates well, and she sets great screens for her teammates to shoot the rock- which in my mind is like an assist!
Gadson led her team with 18 points- but what impresses me most is how physical she plays! With her length and strong physique, she is a beast taking the ball to the basket! She is tough both inside and outside the paint. Very athletic, makes excellent decisions with the basketball, and she’s a tough assignment for opponents!
I really like Haywood’s vision! She sees the floor well, and I love how she hustles! She competes, and will challenge anyone to go 1-1 to the basket- and does it with control. Shoots the rock well, and makes wise choices on transition. Strong motor, and I like how she makes the extra pass. Strong basketball IQ.
Cain is impressive, and certainly holds her own against upperclassmen! Great handles, and has showtime energy, particularly when driving to the bucket! I like how she has confidence, not afraid to take shots, and creates offensive opportunities for herself and her teammates. She has a bright future, remember her name! (Featured Photo, on defense)
