Paige Seckar Paige Seckar 6'0" | SF Oshkosh West | 2024 State WI
The Oshkosh West forward hasn’t drawn a ton of eyes because the Wildcats aren’t the focus of the FVA, but she is one of the best 2024s this state has. The six-foot wing is a mobile kid who can switch onto multiple positions, forcing missed shots or creating turnovers. On the offensive end, she can do a little of everything. Her main “weakness” is that she doesn’t take many jumpers, but if she did, it’s not like she would miss all of them. The junior is more comfortable scoring around the basket in different ways. She can turn losses into wins.
The DSHA wing is difficult to defend. On any night, she can go out and put 30 on a team, and there’d be nothing you could do to prevent that. Last season, Timm was a part of one of the biggest surprises in D1 when the Dashers beat Homestead in the Regional Title game. Her length and 5-foot-11 size make her an intriguing athlete, and her skill makes her one of the most talented 24s in the state.
Katelyn Odem Katelyn Odem 5'8" | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI
Whenever Homestead plays an elite guard, Odem is the player they’ll throw on that player in an attempt to slow them down. The junior is a fierce competitor and plays with as much passion as anyone. At times, she can get a little over-aggressive and get into foul trouble, but that mentality makes her who she is. In the postseason, some ticky-tac fouls won’t get whistled, and she’ll make some guards’ lives miserable for 36 minutes. Homestead is a team who hasn’t had a statement win with their 2025 class yet, but if you have the time, watch them play Germantown tonight.
Reagan Briggs Reagan Briggs 5'9" | SG Verona | 2024 State WI
At the high school level, Briggs can do anything you could imagine. She’s a strong, mobile, skilled, and intelligent athlete. Whenever I see her play, Briggs finds herself in good positions to hurt defenses and defends well on the other end of the floor. Briggs gets outshined a bit over the summer, but when you watch her play, she only makes winning plays on both ends of the court.
