-5’7 SG (Mansfield Legacy)
Holmes was overly impressive in so many ways, first of all, her poise under pressure and willingness to take “the shot” when it counted was part of it yet her ability to knock it down with a hand in her face was another. She scored off the dribble and finished after contact but her consistency from mid to long-range JUST DID IT for me
LeAjah Maddox LeAjah Maddox 5'10" | SF Mansfield Legacy | 2025 State TX -5’10 SF (Mansfield Legacy)
Maddox is “long and athletic” and I call that the base over and over because not only is it one of my favorite profiles, college coaches love it too and they offer scholarships. Her first step was nice, it enabled her to not only get by defenders but score after the lick. She did a good job rebounding on both ends of the court and she played the passing lane
Zoe Melton-6’0 PF (Frisco Lebanon Trail)
Melton is tall, as well as “long and athletic”, see above. She ran the floor after rebounding, on both ends, and she scored not only putbacks but gave me a few moves inside the paint that she used to score with. Her timing was also nice, ad with her wingspan, she gave the offensive player something to think about when attacking the basket and on the flip, she scored off the dribble
Taylor Barnes Taylor Barnes 6'1" | SF South Grand Prairie | 2025 State TX -6’1 SF (South Grand Prairie)
Barnes will be JEFFERSONIZED, meaning she’ll be “Movin’ On Up” in the rankings. Watching her create her jumper and elevate over the defenders with a hand in her face and still knock it down was very nice. She also showed she could drop it in transition, the stop-and-pop is deadly, but she also handled the ball after rebounding, she does that on both ends. She scored off the dribble, she has good timing and her on-the-ball defense was solid
Cedraiah Peterson-6’3 C (South Grand Prairie)
Peterson’s upside will be something to deal with in the future. Well, to be honest, her frame as well as “hands and footwork” to go along with her height are creating some interior problems right now. She’s physical on both ends, she goes after the ball off the rim and she runs the floor, yet her defense inside the paint was good to see
Kinsea Logan Kinsea Logan 6'1" | C Mansfield Lakeridge | 2025 State TX -6’0 SG (Mansfield Lake Ridge)
Logan and her pull-up jumper just keep getting better. She’s long and athletic, again, see above, and with her wingspan, you ain’t blocking it because she releases the ball at the right time and knocks it down. She also put it on the floor from the wing, used nice body control to finish plus she rebounded, and went coast to coast a few times, well she did that after playing the passing lane also
Gavyn Robinson-5’4 PG (Mansfield Lake Ridge)
Robinson is running her team with confidence and stepping into that position last season told me a lot as she handles the ball under pressure and makes good decisions, She scored attacking the rim but her court vision both in the open court as well as the set gave her teammates good looks. She also hit them on the money while attacking the basket
Joy Egbuna Joy Egbuna 6'2" | C Mansfield Lakeridge | 2025 State TX – 6’3 C (Mansfield Lake Ridge)
Egbuna continues to show signs of exploding and with her college-ready frame, everything is falling into place. Her rebounds are powerful as she battles for the ball off the rim yet her putbacks after contact had me smiling. Nice hands and footwork also got her open for some looks plus she defended well inside the paint
