Sahnya has been one of the top players in Maryland for years she is now one of Florida’s finest. She came home and had a huge crowd of family and friends that came to support. The Former Bishop McNamara standout had a 20 point 10 rebound (both game highs) double-double walking away with the game’s MVP award. She broke open a tight game scoring 8 straight points in less that a one minute span.
Jniya dropped 17 points on a top five team and showed she belonged in the conversation of one of the DMV’s top players. She shot the three well and was near perfect at the line going 8 for 9 from the charity stripe. She had a good showing playing on a national stage.

Jordy is another former DMV product that has made the trek to Florida. She has a 6’2″ college body and frame that she uses well to move up and down the floor fluidly. She used her athleticism to make plays on both ends coming off the bench to drop 6 points and a couple of boards on limited touches.
Cori shot the ball well going 4 for 8 from the field with a couple of three pointers which were the first 6 points of the game. She finished the game with 10 points and was a threat each time she touched the ball. As the game went on her sharpshooting wasn’t needed as much, it will be interesting to see how Sidwell Friends deal with her on MLK day.

All of Alaiah’s shots were from beyond the arc as she went 3 for 5 for the game scoring nine points. With her shooting over 60% from beyond the arc it was a head scratcher that she had only one shot attempt in the second half.
