Olivia Gratz
Gratz won the Prep Girls Hoops Player of the Week for her play from December 26 through January 1. She won the award by receiving 37.07% of the votes. Gratz is just a freshman, but you’d never know by watching her play. She broke the Airport record for points in a game by scorching the nets for 38 points. Gratz had a double-double in the game by adding 10 steals to her stat line. Throughout the week she put up huge numbers and seemed to hit every corner of the stat sheet. Gratz has a mature game that is polished physically and mentally beyond her years. She recognizes good looks at the rim and delivers with a reliable and consistent jumper, as evidenced by her 15-16 shooting when she scored 38 points. Gratz brings energy to the floor and can put defenders on her hip. She’s been a difference maker for MI Factory Basketball and is a player that will be making a lot of noise in Michigan over the next few years both in high school ball and in grassroots season.
Michigan was well represented for that week, as Samone Andrews Samone Andrews 5'8" | PG Macomb Dakota | 2024 State MI from Macomb Dakota finished 4th.
Andrews finished 4th by earning 9.04% of the vote. She’s a shifty guard that dropped 38 points in the Roundball Classic. She’s been playing lights out basketball for a year now and is a must see player. Andrews is a true threat to score from multiple levels and she more than proved it in this week of play.
