Dakota picked up a very good semifinal victory against Port Huron Northern. Andrews was terrific on both ends of the floor last night. Let’s start with her perimeter defense. She was able to pressure ball handlers and anticipate the action, leading her to racking up 7 swipes. Offensively, Andrews was her usual self combining quickness, handles and shooting on her way to 22 total points.

Andrews was awesome in the Dakota win against Grosse Pointe South. For the most part, everyone knows that Andrews is an electric scorer. But it was her passing that ruled the day in this game, which is a great sign for her as a prospect. Andrews was on point when using the bounce pass. One in particular she skipped one across the lane for an assist. She also effectively threw a post feed over top that put the ball and her teammate right where they needed to be. Andrews even used blow by speed to get past her defender and had a pretty dump off pass.

put on a show for Dakota in game versus Regina. She utilized inside out, pushout dribbles, and combo moves to create space for assists and score from all three levels. Samone hit 3 pointers off the catch and off the dribble; she also converted finishes strong around the rim. Samone will be an outstanding prospect to watch for an explosive offensive and defensive team at Macomb Dakota.

Andrews was very impressive in Grand Rapids over the weekend. I’d venture to say that she was one of the top pure athletes in the gym. Her ease of movement and ability to change direction is just something that can’t be taught. Andrews showed the ability to handle the ball and create separation from her defender.

Andrews was one of the best players in the gym yesterday! She did a great job running the offense for her team. She is a tremendous facilitator and had her team running the pick and roll effectively. She is a smooth guard with next-level ball-handling skills and exceptional court vision. She showed she can score at all three levels. She is not just a one-way player either, she came away with multiple steals and locked up her player defensively.
