On the defensive end of the floor, Kelley is one of, if not the, best perimeter defenders in Wisconsin. There are a few reasons she jumps out on that end of the floor. One, Kelley reads the flow of the game well and can jump passing lanes as well as anyone. The other thing is how well she can defend kids taller than her. I love her competitiveness on that end of the floor. It already helped get the Spartans to the Resch Center once.
Few kids can swing a game the way that Timm can. Her size and athleticism help her create a shot out of nothing as well as anyone. There is a small list of kids who could lead their team to an upset win over a legit contender, and Timm is on that list. She’s a two-way kid that can make things happen on both ends of the floor. If you were looking for a team that could have an explosion in the postseason, look no further than Timm and her DSHA team.
Faith Walder Faith Walder 5'5" | PG West De Pere | 2025 State WI
There isn’t someone more comfortable finishing with their off-hand than Walder. The other thing about Walder is that she is one of the most pointless kids to throw a full-court press at in a game. If West De Pere jumps out to a lead, and the Phantoms give the ball to Walder, there is a good chance that they end up winning that game. She’s not the flashiest kid you’ll see play in the state, but she is one of the kids that win games based on her making good decisions for 36 minutes.
Abby Hollis Abby Hollis 5'7" | CG Albany | 2025 State WI
The Albany guard has been one of the best shooters in the state this season, and she’s taken more than enough shots to prove it’s not a hot streak. Shooting the ball at a 45% clip from the 3-point line is who she is as a player at Albany, and it doesn’t look like it’s changing anytime soon. Hollis’ shooting could lead the Comets to the Resch Center and possibly a gold or silver ball when the season ends this March.
