Chloe Clardy Chloe Clardy 5'9" | PG Conway | 2023 State AR | Guard | Conway | 5’9 | 2023
Chloe is the state best player and ranked #39 nationally by ESPN. She started off a little slow in the first quarter, but quickly got it going. She finished the game with 25 points, with 15 of those points coming from behind the three-point line. The defense made a few mistakes by going under the screen and she made them pay. When given too much space on the catch she was able to drain the catch-and-shoot three-pointer. She also finished well in transition and was able to get to the rim in the half-court.
Savannah Scott Savannah Scott 6'4" | C Conway | 2023 State AR | Post | Conway | 6’5 | 2023
Savannah is a walking double-double. Whenever she decides she wants to dominate the paint she can and there is nothing her opponent can do about it. She did a really good job of using her length and size to get position on the low block. She often asked for the ball high and on the catch she kept it high for the finish. Savannah rolled hard to the basket after setting the on-ball screen and finished in traffic with a soft touch. She also did a good job of providing help on penetration.
Alexis Cox Alexis Cox 5'8" | SF Conway | 2025 State AR | Wing | Conway | 5’9 | 2025
Alexis is starting to become Conway’s third scoring option. She was recently inserted into the starting lineup and has been playing solid. The 5’9 wing player is athletic enough with her size to defend multiple positions. She can switch on the point guard or guard either wing position. She also has the strength to defend some 4’s and 5’s. Alexis did a good job of containing the ball and playing the passing lanes. She can push it in transition, attack in the half-court, and shoot the three.
Ja’Miya Brown Ja’Miya Brown 5'11" | SF North Little Rock | 2023 State AR | Guard | North Little Rock | 5’10 | 2023
Conway had a nice crowd on hand to welcome North Little Rock. The band was rocking the student section was loud and the cheerleaders was trying to motivate their home team. This could be a little overwhelming for some, but Ja’Miya brought a big game with her Friday night. The senior guard put up 23 points and played a huge role in the getting North Little Rock in position to try to steal a win on the road. Her length can be a problem anyone she defends. She runs the floor well and finishes on the break. She moved well without the ball, flashing to weak spots in the defense to make plays. Ja’Miya also put on a shooting display by hitting 5 three-pointers.
April Edwards April Edwards 5'9" | CG North Little Rock | 2023 State AR | Guard | North Little Rock | 5’9 | 2023
April is a strong, physical, gritty guard. She’s not flashy, but she get things done. When she is in transition and gets her shoulders downhill, there aren’t too many players that can stop her from getting to the rim. She also does a good job of getting her eyes up the floor and making on-target passes for finishes. April can be shifty with her dribble in the half-court and get in the lane. An unselfish player that also doesn’t mind matching up with the other teams best perimeter player.
Jocelyn Tate Jocelyn Tate 5'9" | SF North Little Rock | 2024 State AR | Guard | North Little Rock | 5’10 | 2024
Jocelyn is one of the best athletes I have seen this season. Her end to end speed is on a different level. In transition and in the open court is where she excels. Jocelyn’s athleticism allows here to chase down the ball handler to get a steal and then weave through the defense and get to the other end for the lay-up. She has good length and quick jumping ability. This allows her to make it tough for the offense to shoot over her. In the half-court she often slashes to the rim, but also has a respectable three-point shot that she can make when left open.
