Morgan Phipps
Morgan Phipps
Morgan Phipps knows how to grab a steal and immediately push it up the court for some points. She does a nice job drawing defenders towards her to open up the court for her teammates. She is patient letting a play develop and reads her defender well knowing when she is off balance and can blow by her. On defense, she sees the floor well knowing where and when to slide into the help position, and she can guard a range of opponents handling herself when someone tries to seal her off on the block.
Amanda Sacoto is averaging a double double this season taking on a strong senior leadership role for the Cavaliers. She is quick moving in the paint from block to block going after the rebound following a shot knowing how it will come off the backboard. She does a nice job staying in front of opponents on the block preventing them from getting a pass inside. On offense, she hustles up the court getting to her position staying ready for the pass whether she’d get it while running or she needs to seal off her opponent to create a target for herself. Her adjustments in the paint are fun to watch knowing how to move her opponent to get the best shot for herself.
Highlights
Jyana Salton has a big impact on the court no matter what side she is playing on at the moment. She jumps into passing lanes grabbing steals and making tremendous passes up to her teammates for some fast breaks making it in between defenders at times. She shows high IQ driving hard to the basket and finishing it herself or dumping it to a teammate for their own points. She knows how to up the tempo or help her team reset to run another offensive play.

Kameron Pearson is quick with the ball grabbing the steal and pushing it up the court for some points. She doesn’t mind contact embracing it on her way up, and she knows how to make a move to get her opponent off of her. She uses fakes and dribble penetration to move her defenders and make her bounce passes into her teammates on the block. She is quick with her change of directions whether she is handling the ball or making cuts to get open for the pass.
Layla Tillery knows how to slide over and help teammates on defense coming in to knock the ball away turning into a steal for her team. She does a nice job standing around the perimeter evaluating the offense and seeing where she can make the best pass or move herself, especially finding her teammates flashing in the paint. She has a nice shot fake that allows her some space to get around her opponent. She can get inside herself driving hard to the hoop or be the one flashing in the paint for her own points.
Briahna Scott
Briahna Scott
Briahna Scott has been doing everything for her team. She runs the top of the key defender position on the press and half court defense using her length to prevent passes and players from going by her. She in bounds the ball and fills in the open lanes when breaking a press on offense. Her ability to score on all levels is certainly an asset, too, finding the open spaces around the perimeter to put up her shot and being able to get inside for some points from the block. She crashes the boards on both ends for rebounds as well.
Jade Clowney has been showing her senior leadership handling the ball and pushing the tempo. She does a nice job driving hard to the hoop opening up the court for her teammates to grab the dish and score their own points. She can knock down her shot from deep, too, whether she pulls up off the dribble or makes it from a pass.
