2023 BCAT Girls Division Team 2 Roster

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we continue to name the 2023 BCAT All Star Teams, I cannot help but to continue to brag about these young ladies who were selected. Being able to follow them throughout their high school career has been a phenomenal experience. These girls are tremendous on the hardwood floor, and even better young people off of it.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Today we are going to talk about the BCAT Girls Division II Team 2 roster. Within this team, you have a little bit of everything. From dynamic ball handlers to knocking down clutch shooters, this particular team is littered with great all-around players. I may be biased, but the girls in this state surely can play. This team is just a little sample size of what our women's hoops girls can do.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So it is only fitting that I bring you the 2023 BCAT All Star Girls Division II Team 2 Roster.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='399921' first='Lindsey' last='Summarell'] (5'8/ Sr./ SG/ BGA)</strong>- hard-working kid who has put a lot of time in the gym. She has a nice shot from beyond the arc, and can get to the rim. She's a multilevel scoring threat, who is a fierce competitor on the defensive end. She's a selfless teammate that is always looking to do the little things to help her club win ball games.Great kid who brings that lunch pail mentality to the floor nightly.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='134646' first='Angelica' last='Velez'] (5'6/ Sr./ PG/ Webb- Bell Buckle)</strong>- phenomenal point guard, the LSU commit is a goon when it comes to basketball. She can get down hill and finish against contact, and can dish like no other. When it comes to feeding her teammates, she hits them in their shooter's pocket for them to be able to finish. She's super tough on the defensive end, where she uses her speed to help creat turnovers. She thrives at creating chaos. Wears her heart on her sleeve, she brings the energy juice to the floor every time she laces up her kicks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Aurora Sanchez (6'4/Sr./C/ Webb- Bell Buckle)</strong>- big body in the paint, she is phenomenal when it comes to grabbing boards. The U is definitely getting a nice stud athlete when it comes to Aurora. Offensively, from the mid range, she has a nice J. She has what it takes to get the job done no matter where she is. She unleashes a bevy of different post moves, it's hard to stop her underneath. On the defensive end, she gains rebounds and runs well into transition, leading to fast break opportunities.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Carly Hays (5'9/ Sr./ SF/ USJ)</strong> - this small forward is a nice pace and space player. She makes her money from the three-point line, where she's lethal. She's a tough opponent who can get after it on both ends of the floor. She plays the game with a lot of heart and passion and she is one of the heartbeats that makes her school team go.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='285361' first='Trinity' last='Fields'] (5'4/ Sr./ PG/ Brentwood Academy)</strong> - The UNC Asheville commit is a 3 level old junkyard dog who is always looking to attack downhill. Yeah she can shoot the three, but getting to the hole is her bread and butter. Has great court presence and feel for the game. Great at dishing the rock to her teammates. On the defensive end, she isn't afraid to lock up her opponent the full length of the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jolie Cote (5'7/Sr./SG/ Davidson Academy)</strong>- solid contributor who does the little things to help her club. From unleashing shots from beyond the arc, rebounding, getting steals, she displays an all around statistical game nightly. A tough competitor who is a great all-around team player. Solid kid who has a great basketball I.Q.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='285352' first='Halli' last='Stuffle'] (5'6/ Sr./ PG/ Lakeway Christian) </strong>- the Montevallo commit is a sharp shooter. She's a tough hardnose player who just gets after it. From knocking down shots from beyond the arc to slashing through gaps to unleash a 15ft shot, the girl is lethal when it comes to scoring. Nice on the defensive end, she is going to compete without a doubt. She's the schools 3pt scoring record holder, but she is a phenomenal all around player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='399903' first='Dani' last='Reeves'] (5'6/ Sr./ SG/ Boyd- Buchanan)</strong> - all around guard who just gets it done. She does all the little things to help her club pull out victories. From knocking down shots from beyond the arc and within, to grabbing rebounds, and hitting open open teammates for assists, she's a selfless ball player who loves to compete any time the ball tips off.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Mafo Tekobo(5'9/ Sr./PF/ Briarcrest)</strong> - brings a nice inside presence to the game, Mafo is an old-school hustler. In the paint area, she's tough to compete with. She makes her living on the boards on both ends of the floor. Has a nice motor to her game. Anticipates well, leading to easy buckets around the rim. A selfless player, who prides herself in getting rebounds.&nbsp;<br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='245288' first='Keira' last='Leffew'] ( 6'0/Sr./G/ CAK)</strong>- straight beast mode. Kierra is flawless with the ball in her hands. She can do it all, from scoring inside or out to grabbing rebounds to blocking shots, or even delivering timely passes to her teammates, this girl is an all-around sensational athlete that is committed to Lee university. She's a&nbsp; big guard who can flat out get the job done.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
