#2 Perry dominates #15 Fairfax 74-45. Perry came out red-hot in a dominate 32 minute performance. 2023 W Halena Hill showed why she’s one of the best shooters in the state on Thursday night. She started the first quarter 3-3 from 3pt range which allowed Perry to jump to 22-9 lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was all about 2023 Vanderbilt commit,. Pierre was unstoppable in the 2nd quarter, scoring on nearly every touch she received. Fairfax had no answer for Pierre and being without their sophomore star , made the tall-task of shutting down Pierre even harder. Pierre finished with 24 points in three quarters of play. 2026 of Perry showed her versatility being able to knock down shots from the perimeter as well as her ability to breakdown her defenders and finish inside. Henry finished with 13 points including 3 threes. 2023 W Halena Hill finished with 13 points. 2023 6’4 F finished with 8 points. Fairfax was led by 2025 G with 12 points, 2025 G Savannah Helms with 11pts and 2025 F DiannaLynn Howell with 8 points.
Desert Vista advances 77-64 with win over Valley Vista. The top ranked team in the state was able to get revenge on last season’s postseason loss to Valley Vista on Thursday night, but it wasn’t easy. At the end of the first quarter, Desert Vista held a slim 19-17 lead. Desert Vista was able to expand that lead to 8 at the half leading 38-30. In the 3rd quarter Desert Vista exploded to a 57-38 lead and was able to coast to the finish line from there. 2026of Desert Vista led all scorers on the night with 25 points. 2024 G tallied 15 points and 2024 ESPN top 100 contributed 14 points. 2024 F led Valley Vista with 16 points followed by 2023 G with 13 points and 2024 with 12 points. Desert Vista will host one of the best 2025 prospects in and Salpointe Catholic on February 17th at 7PM.
Salpointe Catholic squeeks by Hamilton 49-45. Salpointe Catholic was able to squeek by Hamilton on Thursday night. 2025 top prospectposted 17points and 9 rebounds. 2023 contributed 11points in the win. Hamilton was led by their two juniors. 2024 led all scorers on the night with 22 points and 2024 tallied 8points and 11 rebounds. Salpointe Catholic is clicking on all cylinders and has won their last 16 straight games. If they want to extend that win-streak to 17 games they will have to knock off the number one overall seed Desert Vista next Friday.
McClintock charges past Mesquite 69-54. 2025 Super sophomorewent for 26 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals in an impressive road win against #5 ranked Mesquite. 2023 forward Isabel Green tallied 8 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks in the win. McClintock will test their luck next Friday against #4 Xavier Prep at 7PM. A matchup that will consist of two of the best guards in the state in McClintock’s 2025 and Xavier Prep’s 2024 .
Xavier Prep swamps Dobson 54-36.led Xavier Prep to a 54-36 win over Dobson on Thursday night. She tallied 22 points, followed by 2023 with 16 points (4 threes), and 2026 with 10 points. #4 Xavier Prep will attempt to end #21 McClintock’s Cinderella run next Friday, February 17th at 7PM.
Seton Catholic takes care of Mesa 53-42. 2023 Gled Seton Catholic with 16pts. 2024 Caitlyn Benally added 13pts. Seton Catholic’s trio of 2025s: Mia DiPucchio, Sophie Morales, and Carmella Gallardo recorded 8 points each. Mesa’s senior star point guard finished with a game-high of 18pts. Seton Catholic will host Millennium on February 17th at 7PM.
Millennium’s 3rd Quarter Run Too Much for Sandra Day OC 58-52. Millennium and Sandra Day OC had an intense battle on Thursday night between two of the best teams in the state. After the first quarter Millennium only led the #11 seed Sandra Day OC 15-13. Sandra Day OC took control of the second quarter and were able to take a 25-23 lead into half. The Tigers came out of halftime on a whole other level. The Tigers went on a 22-3 run in the 3rd quarter which would create a 16 point lead of 48-32. Sandra Day OC would attempt to cut the lead but finally fall 58-52. Millennium was led by 2023 University of California Santa Barbara commitwith 20 points. Sandra Day OC was led by 2023 with 14 points. 2023 and 2024 added 13 a piece.
Pinnacle rolls Flagstaff 56-35. Pinnacle was ready for this one from the tip-off. The Pioneers flew to a 17-6 lead after the first quarter. Flagstaff was able to cut that lead to 26-18 at the half, but Pinnacle was able to burst to a 56-35 finish in the second half. 2024was on fire on Thursday night as she contributed 23 points in her teams win. 2025 posted 18 points. Pinnacle will travel to the number 2 overall seed Perry in a quarterfinals matchup between two highly talented ball clubs.
