The 2B girls state tournament might be top heavy with a handful of teams that are quite a bit more talented than the rest of the field. In the round of 12 on Wednesday, we will see who gets to face the likes of Colfax, Okanogan, Napavine, and Warden. Those top 4 seeds await the winners in the quarterfinals. Here is a closer look at the Wednesday match-ups. Adna and LaConner are still in the hunt, and might be the most likely of teams to take home a trophy.

NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN - Paisley Cox, Makenzie Ritchie, [player_tooltip player_id='590245' first='Leah' last='Platt']

OUTLOOK
LaConner should bounce back from a tough loss to Napavine in the regional round. [player_tooltip player_id='144536' first='Ellie' last='Marble'] should have a big game once again, and [player_tooltip player_id='584224' first='Josie' last='Harper'], both of whom are no strangers to playing in Spokane. This could set up a rematch of the first round of last year's tournament with LaConner and Warden. A first round game that was between two title contenders.with Warden going on to win the game and the 2B title.

Prediction - LaConner 65-43

UPPER COLUMBIA - Sidney Folkenberg, Sasha Vaughan

OUTLOOK
Rainier ran into a tough Okanogan team in the regional round. Not only that, [player_tooltip player_id='590871' first='Brooklyn' last='Swenson'] went down with an injury late in the game and I'm not sure if she will be able to go in this one. I still like Rainier, led by leading scorer and 1st team all Central 2B guard [player_tooltip player_id='584205' first='Angelica' last='Askey'].

PLAYERS TO WATCH

ADNA - Karlee Von Moos, Brooklyn Loose, Danika Hallom

RAYMOND - [player_tooltip player_id='589901' first='Karsyn' last='Freeman']

OUTLOOK
These two teams already faced each other once this season with Adna winning in blowout fashion. They should take care of business again in this one and set up a rematch with Napavine in the quarterfinals. That will be the third meeting between those two teams, with Napavine winning both the first two. The last in the district championship game. That game was won on a last second shot by [player_tooltip player_id='525847' first='Morgan' last='Hamilton'] who shared Central 2B MVP honors with Karlee Von Moos. [player_tooltip player_id='589901' first='Karsyn' last='Freeman'] is a big time scorer for Raymond, but I see an Adna vs Napavine quarterfinal in the making.

Prediction - Adna 57-39

LIBERTY - Ella Denny, Devyn Cook, Grace Grumbly

OUTLOOK
Tough to call this one. Mabton doesn't have a senior on the roster. Liberty is tournament tested but lost a lot of their production. I'm giving the young Mabton team the nod here. I think they have more overall talent.

Prediction - Mabton 47-39
