Continue ReadingWith a lot of size at this event Jana in my opinion had the best weekend of them all! 6’3 power 5 frame played the lion share of the minutes in all her games. Jana knows how to use her body at an elite level! When she gets it in the post she just leans on defenders and was virtually unstoppable in the low block! She put 14 points against a team that had two division one talents, not committed yet but she will be a plug and play player at the next level!
Hartman has a good understanding of the game from 3/4 position. At 6’2 with her long wingspan even with an off game you can tell she will always be a stat stuffer getting rebounds and blocks shots! She has good range on the offensive end and can step out beyond the arch from 3. With her height and versatility she is a shot maker versus even the smaller fast defender. Her team asked a lot from her this weekend and she did not disappoint with good post and shoot performances.
Highlights
Gianel Quist
Gianel Quist
Only in the 7th grade, great size and a college with a college frame! For a young player she knows how to position her body for rebounds. Gianel has good body control and moves in the post. Showed consistent foot work and can finish at the basket with both hands through contact.
Every bit of 6’4 with an incredible long wind span! Her team primarily ran a 3-2 defense and she was the anchor on the back side. Great shot blocker and she alter many more, she will go get rebounds off the glass on both ends of the floor. Yacne was a matchup problem on the offensive end because of her length and was very hard to stop. Very good prospect who is still raw and still developing!
Kyndoll English
Kyndoll English
This team wasloaded with young talent across the board and this 8th grader headlined the front court. Very young player held her own against division one athletes. As a young player she already understands the screen and roll game! Kyndoll did a great job opening up on her rolls to the basket to get layups. She also had go court awareness to pass the ball out the post to her teammates when the defense rotated on her. rn
