CY LAKES
Kayla McBride-Davis-5’6 SF [2023]
Mcbride-Davis is one of those “you won’t outwork me” players and her battling in the paint at her size was definitely #THROWBACK. She defended well and played the passing lane but she also scored off the dribble and finished after contact
Aniyah Lewis-5’11 SF [2023]
Lewis created her shot under pressure and knocked down some shots under pressure. She showed the long ball multiple times and did a good job defending as well as rebounding on both ends
Taegan Moore-5’8 CG [2023]
Moore scored around the rim, as well as off the dribble but her moves inside the paint created some problems and she applied constant pressure on the ball and helped create turnovers
Aniah Alexis Aniah Alexis 5'8" | SG Cy Lakes | 2024 State TX -6’1 CG [2024]
Alexis put on one of the best individual scoring performances I have seen all season yet I knew what was coming when she was in middle school. Numbers don’t blow me away, it’s how you score and even back then, I knew she was going to be in the mix. She’s coming back with a vengeance after her injury and her long-range shooting kept my eyes glued to the screen. She also dropped the midrange in the set, as well as the stop and pop in transition. She understands how to set the defender up to score off the dribble, her variety of moves coupled with a deceptive first step gets her there, yet her body control gave me some acrobatic finishes. One play in particular, she missed her free throw yet got to the ball and made a layup, I haven’t seen that in a long time
Makennah Alexis Makennah Alexis 5'7" | CG Cy Lakes | 2026 State TX -5’8 CG [2026]
Alexis is on her way and she feeds off of big sister yet she also understands how to get hers in the flow. She creates her shot and gets it off with ease, even showing she could knock it down with a hand in her face. She attacks the basket and finishes strongly after contact
LANGHAM CREEK
Aniyah Sanford Aniyah Sanford 5'5" | PG Langham Creek | 2023 State TX -5’3 PG [2023]
Sanford dropped some deep ones late in the game to make it a game but her “outrebounding” taller player just tells you something about her desire as well as work ethic. She did a good job handling the double team, she made solid passes for assist opportunities but she also played good “on the ball” defense
Eryn Lloyd-5’4 SG [2023]
Lloyd continues to crack me up as she throws blistering passes in traffic, on the money, with either hand. Her poise under pressure has always been there, and so has the pressure she applies defensively but her outside shot has become a legitimate threat as she understands how to get to her spot and drop it from midrange.
Heather Baymon Heather Baymon 5'6" | PG Langham Creek | 2024 State TX -5’6 CG [2024]
Baymon can get to the rim however and whenever she wants but her ability to score in droves is a huge plus. She did a good job facilitating, showing she is an all-around player, and her body control that created contact was nice
Brooke Prevost-5’10 SF [2026]
Prevost is “long and athletic” and that will always be the base. I’m enjoying watching her progression this season, she plays interior and on the ball defense, she also plays the passing lane but her UPSIDE is intriguing
