The 2022-2023 IHSAA girls’ basketball season came to an end Saturday, as four State Champions were crowned. Very soon, I will begin my annual rundown of the all-state awards for each classification in their own articles, however, I wanted to take the time to highlight several ladies from different areas of the state. Below is a look at a handful of ladies who stood out in Northeast Indiana.

She is a really nice athlete, she is skilled at all three levels, and she plays with an outstanding motor. There were a number of schools recruiting her, but she’s heading to Huntington University.

– Jordyn is our top rated point guard in the 2024 class, and she backed that up this year with her strong play. She helped Snider to a 21-5 record, including a 67-66 Semi-State loss to State Finalist Fishers. She is electric, quick, fast, and explosive in all directions. She’s also a tremendous lead guard who finds teammates and takes care of the basketball. She averaged 16.7 ppg, 4.0 apg, and 3.5 spg, for the Panthers.

She is strong and physical, she plays with a nice motor, but she is also skilled in the mid-post and can control a game on the interior. Additionally, he has stretched her range some these last couple of seasons. She averaged 13.7 ppg and 9.7 rpg for the Knights.

– Ava is a long, wiry-strong kid for her height, and she is a solid athlete in all directions. Kaleah Williams, 2025, 5-5 G, Fort Wayne North Side H.S.

She helped the Lady Legends to seven wins this year…their most since the 2009-2010 season. As she continues to learn the game and build her skillset, she will only get better. Homestead | 2026
State

, 2026, 5-10 W, Homestead H.S.
– Myah saw an opportunity on Varsity from the get-go, and she took full advantage of it. She made several big plays throughout her Freshman season, and she will be a key player for them moving forward. She is long, fluidly athletic, and versatile skillfully. She played quite a bit in the mid-post for them, but she is more of a genuine wing in the long run. I am excited to see her growth this Spring.
