Myah is one of the most talented, most versatile guards in Indiana’s Class of 2026, and she has put together an outstanding career for the Spartans. Homestead doesn’t post their stats on MaxPreps, so those aren’t readily available, however, she is a 4-year letter-winner for one of the state’s best Class 4A programs, and she is committed to a regular Top 25 program in the Louisville Cardinals. The Homestead Spartans are 90-17 during her watch, and while they have won 3 Sectional titles, they lost to Norwell this year, and they’ve only advanced past the Regional game once…her Sophomore year when they lost to Lake Central in the Elite Eight. Has she had enough team success to win this award? She will also be battling Vanessa RosswurmVanessaRosswurm

. She is another talented backcourt player who can fit in just about any system or style of play because of her versatility. She is great out in transition and can get downhill quickly to create and/or score the ball. She has improved her jumper each season and is a real threat from beyond the arc. She can also play a traditional point guard role, find open teammates, and lead them to easy scores. Defensively, she has some height at 5-10, nice length, and she has greatly improved her strength and absorbs contact well. She is such a nice, all-around guard. She is committed to Louisville.
Myah may have been the most vital piece of the Always 100 3SSB Aqua pool runner-up squad. The Louisville commit is a physical force when she attacks the rim. Finding and finishing through contact was not an issue for Myah. Playing on a team that only had 6 girls, she mixed it up in the paint and was great at cleaning the glass. Her anticipation and length was key to the success of the Always 100 3SSB trapping zone D.
I’ve obviously seen Myah a number of times over the last few years, and each year she has added a new piece to her game. The University of Louisville recruit looked as physical as ever Friday morning, especially when attacking the basket. She was seeking contact, drawing contact, and earned repeated trips to the free throw line. She was also assertive on the boards and used her length productively at the defensive end of the floor.
When Myah arrived at high school, she was already grown, skilled, and talented. But the best compliment I can give her is, it seems like she has continued to address her areas of weakness and really worked on them, plus she has maintained her quickness and explosion. She has become a pure point guard, she continues to be unselfish at the position, but she also has a good feel as to when to shoot/score the ball and take over from that aspect. Because Homestead lacks height, she is also able to showcase her versatility, especially defensively.
Despite an inferior opponent when I saw her play Friday afternoon, Myah was locked in and didn’t let down. She made shot after shot, with range, off-balance, in traffic, plus she found open teammates. I think what I’ve been most impressed with her over the last year has been her ability to make herself more explosive in all directions. She has turned that corner athletically, and is powering through defenses and absorbing contact much better.
