This list of unsigned seniors has a great mix of highly ranked and overlooked players, all deserving of an offer to continue their hoop careers next season. Take a look at a handful of talented unsigned seniors.
Strengths: Awareness, Passing, Ball Skills
Breakdown: Barnett is a big-time playmaker for Emerald Ridge who uses her strength, ball handling, and vision to impact the game and make plays. She’s a hard worker who can facilitate in a number of ways; from the top of the key, the high post, or using the dribble to get into dangerous areas. It all starts with her awareness and ability to find and create space.
Outlook: She has good size to be a playmaking forward at the next level, but she also has potential to be a taller guard if she can get that long-range shot to fall with more consistency. She’s shown an ability to hit from 3-point and it could be an area of growth for her. Her playmaking is her best attribute and she’s able to do a lot of things in that regard with her combination of size, strength, and ball skills.

Highlights
Strengths: Patience, Motor, Playmaking
Breakdown: Maya Barnett Maya Barnett 5’10” | SG Emerald Ridge | 2023 State WA has a similar mold to her game as Marecia but she seems to do it from different areas of the floor. Maya has some real skill passing the ball from the short corners and wings into the middle, finding cutters and surveying the floor well. She’s also a smart player off the ball, setting up skip passes with backside screens, making well-timed dives to the hoop, and running the floor hard. She’s also a threat to knock down the long-range jumper if you let her.
Outlook: Barnett seems well suited for a hardworking, playmaking forward role at the next level. She has ability to finish at the hoop, mix it up on the glass, and runs the floor exceptionally well. But she also has good patience on the offensive end that helps her make the right plays and does a lot of great stuff without the ball that clears space offensively.

Makhayla Adams
Makhayla Adams
Strengths: Hands, Defense, Motor
Breakdown: Adams is an underrated post who possesses a well-rounded game. She has great hands that can catch the low passes, secure long rebounds, and shows good fight to contest shots. She’s able to work on the pick and roll, patiently finding the right windows on the roll, and she can defend well too; denying post entry and showing good ability to cover ground and work through picks. Offensively, she could get stronger finishing near the rim, but shows good vision passing from different areas and can hit the jumper out to the elbows.
Outlook: There is a lot of potential for Adams at the next level, as a player who works hard and does a lot of things well. She has a great foundation for her game and seems like the kind of player who will only get better. It’s going to be key for her to get stronger finishing with contact at the hoop, but she does enough other things well that she should be able to contribute in a variety of ways.

Brooke Zimmerman
Brooke Zimmerman
Strengths: Shooting, Defensive Versatility, Toughness
Breakdown: Zimmerman is a long guard with a good stroke out to 3-point range, and some defensive versatility. First off, she is a shooter no matter where she sets up from. She can hit from the mid-range, 3-point, and is a solid free throw shooter. On the defensive end, she makes herself big, contests shots without fouling, and is really active on the boards. She has the quickness and length to matchup with post and perimeter players, and that same skill set allows her to spot up on offense or take the ball to the rim.
Outlook: Zimmerman has the makeup of a good spot up shooter and defender at the next level, that can bring a little bit more to the table on top of that. Her ability to hit contested shots is huge, and she has a quick motion that could really help her space the floor in college. She works hard on both ends and her length and toughness give her a little bit of positional versatility on defense.

Strengths: Quickness, On-Ball Defense, Ballhandling
Breakdown: Turley has a natural look on the floor. She’s able to handle the ball with ease, get to her spots, and shift defenses with her ability to change direction and beat defenders. She sets the pace with her play, getting the outlet and going down court, and can shoot the rock out to 3-point range. She takes that quickness to the defensive end too, locking up ballhandlers and providing constant pressure.
Outlook: Turley has a lot of potential with her ability to change direction and handle the ball. She can get hot from the floor too, and she could be a dynamic offensive threat at the next level. She already has the ability to create space and has some nice moves on the dribble, but more consistency shooting through tight contests would take her game to the next level. She really has a chance to be a solid two-way player at the next level.

Strengths: 3-PT Shooting, On-Ball Defense
Breakdown: As an on-ball defender, Sapilak gets low and is ready to pick up ballhandlers full court. She is able to slow down the ball at the point of attack and gets her fair share of tips and steals with quick hands and anticipation. She stays active, has a great motor, and really slows down the opposing offenses. She’s also a long-range threat that is capable of catching fire and can hit all around the arc.
Outlook: Sapilak’s two best skills are going to be huge assets for her at the next level. She’s a floor spacer who can play lockdown defense, a player who can apply pressure on defense, and relieve it on offense. She also has good size at the guard spot and if she can get even better with her handle, she could be an awesome get for whatever school she lands at.
