Get out the road atlas – remember those? – cuz you might need it to locate the various home towns of the 15 newcomers to the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2024 rankings. Our winter rankings update covers most of Minnesota – from Ely and Duluth in the northeast to Rochester and Pine Island in the southeast, from Pierz and Albany and Henning in Central Minnesota, to Blaine and North St. Paul and Eagan in the Twin Cities Metro. We've got athletic guards and lengthy forwards and late bloomers and up-and-coming prospects. Here are the new names you need to know among Minnesota's top juniors.

THE TOP TWO

#132 – [player_tooltip player_id='594370' first='Tatum' last='Findley'] – guard, Albany

Entering the rankings with a coveted position in the Top 150 is the crafty, athletic guard from Albany, who is one of the best players on one of the best teams in Class 2A. The 5'9 junior is quick, quicker, quickest, and she can shoot it with the best of them. Findley is deadly from downtown. She also has a really fast first step that can leave defenders reeling. With length, tenacity and great lateral movement, Tatum is also an excellent defender who plays without fear. Tatum is a primary ball handler for the Huskies and plays a key role with [player_tooltip player_id='302297' first='Alyssa' last='Sand'] and [player_tooltip player_id='302300' first='Kylan' last='Gerads']. She keeps her eyes up, head on a swivel and moves the ball with poise and precision. Pretty good chance Tatum will bring her game to Williams Arena later this month. You might want to have a look.

#161 – [player_tooltip player_id='605703' first='Sadie' last='Dominick'] – guard, Blaine

Sadie just might be a sleeper. We've been slow to catch on to the 5'8 guard's potential, but now that Dominick has entered the Prep Girls Hoops rankings I'd guess there is a better than average chance she makes more than a hop, skip and a jump up the ladder in short order. After a great month of Friday night performances at the Fall Exclusive, Sadie parlayed that momentum into an outstanding high school season. The combo guard is athletic, agile and has some bounce. Her consistency this season has been impressive. She's averaging 9 points per game for the Bengals, and put up a season-high 18 on Wednesday in a win over Forest Lake. Dominick will return to the AAU realm this spring with Minnesota P.R.E.P. where we suspect she's going to shine.

THREE PLAYERS ON THE RISE

#190 – [player_tooltip player_id='605706' first='Alyssa' last='Sadlovsky'] – guard, Pierz

We've got Alyssa listed as a guard. Some people say she's a forward. Either way she is a player on the rise who can handle it, shoot it and score it. What really excites us about the possibilities for the 5'7 junior is her grit. This kid is all about the sandpaper. When we saw her at the Breakdown Granite City Classic Sadlovsky made it obvious that she likes the physicality, isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, and is going to give you everything she has to win the ball game. She also buried four triples and scored 26 points against West Fargo Horace. Sadlovsky will play AAU for Minnesota Comets Berskow and is interested in competing at the next level, as well.

#192 – [player_tooltip player_id='605707' first='Grace' last='LaTourell'] – guard, Ely

Ely is about as off the beaten path in Minnesota girls basketball as it gets. Known more for its world-class canoeing on Lake Vermillion and being the front door to the Boundary Waters, Ely might just become a basketball town if Grace keeps playing the way she has played this winter. The 5'6 guard has been filling up the basket while leading her squad to 22 wins so far. Grace is an elite scorer in Class A and this girl can flat out shoot the basketball. Give her a little time and space and she's going to nail it from the next county. LaTourell can also get to the rim through contact and finish with either hand, and she is a quality passer with nice court vision. Look for Grace this spring with Playmakers North.

#195 – [player_tooltip player_id='605710' first='Ada' last='Skafte'] – guard, Duluth Marshall

There are some serious star attractions in the Hilltoppers' lineup including Top 15 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='296516' first='Regan' last='Juenemann'], 7th grade phenom [player_tooltip player_id='433933' first='Chloe' last='Johnson'], and 9th grade standouts [player_tooltip player_id='478376' first='Anna' last='Saari'] and [player_tooltip player_id='502542' first='Ava' last='Meierotto']. Off in the shadows, doing the dirty work that helps to win basketball games, is Skafte. She's not flashy but she is super effective and she can shoot the three. Ada's game has grown a ton this winter and her finger prints are all over Marshall's success. Skafte is averaging over 7 points per game and has been doubling that in the stretch run. At 5'7 she has a solid build, a well-rounded skillset and the ability and willingness to grind for every inch.

MORE NAMES YOU SHOULD KNOW

#188 – [player_tooltip player_id='605704' first='Ella' last='Zmolek'] – forward, Rochester John Marshall

#189 – [player_tooltip player_id='605705' first='Ashlee' last='Horton'] – guard, North St. Paul

#191 – [player_tooltip player_id='605702' first='Ashley' last='Bryfczynski'] – guard, Waconia

#193 – [player_tooltip player_id='605708' first='Hailey' last='Wolgamot'] – guard, Hill-Murray

#194 – [player_tooltip player_id='605709' first='Ivy' last='Lothenberg'] – guard, St. Croix Prep

#196 – [player_tooltip player_id='605711' first='Paxyn' last='Rendahl'] – guard, Pine Island

#197 – [player_tooltip player_id='577428' first='Macy' last='Redetzke'] – guard, Eagan

#198 – [player_tooltip player_id='520281' first='Olivia' last='Haukoos'] – guard, United Christian

#199 – [player_tooltip player_id='605712' first='Lyndsey' last='Strohmeier'] – guard, Pierz

#200 – [player_tooltip player_id='567388' first='Lyvia' last='Misegades'] – forward, Henning
