That all came to an end Friday morning at the Coliseum as they lost to a very solid D’Evelyn team. In the lost Brihanna manage to get 28 points and 12 rebounds team highs in both categories. The season may not have ended the way she wouldn’t liked it to but hopefully she can take it all in and come back ready to win it all next year.
I talked about Peyton an article before playoffs started saying that she would be a key factor in D’Evelyn moving on as far as state playoffs. Her ability to constantly know when and how to make her team better is what separates her from other great players. When the win over Riverdale Peyton exploded for 36 points and 14 rebounds which includes her going 15/19 at the free throw lines. If she can continue to play strong and have games like she was able to have Friday morning D’Evelyn will be a tough team to knock off.

When planning to make a deep run in the playoffs, the teams that can execute offense are always going to be ones that last the longest. Even with that you still need players that are able to make shots and be consistent which is exactly what Raelyn Kelty Raelyn Kelty 5’10” | SF Lutheran | 2023 State CO provide for Lutheran Friday morning. With a Final Four appearance on the line, she came up big and help secure the 54-36 win putting up 21 points and 12 rebounds. Lutheran will have a week to prepare as they look to keep their season live.
Taryn has been a steady hand of University all season so coming into the matchup with Eaton for the 3rd time I knew she would be ready to handle business, in the 2 meetings before she averaged 12 points, 2 rebounds and 2.5 assist. In their win Friday evening to that sends them to the Final Four Taryn number remained around her averages but her intensity raised she was more focused on being an anchor on defense forcing guards into quick passes that would result in turnovers and keeping her hands in the passing lanes.
