Sydney Perry Sydney Perry 6'0" | PF Windsor | 2024 State NewE , 6’1 F – Windsor High School Class of 2024
It’s official, there’s not a lot you can do to slow Sydney down. She plays with a high motor and her skillset + feel for the game separate her from the pack. Perry provided 14 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and three steals on the night. With fantastic instincts in the post, Sydney garnered position, finished with nice footwork, and worked the glass for second chance opportunities. And defensively there’s no let up. She bothered shots, blocked a few, and secured the paint for the bulk of the 32 minutes. Sydney was dominant.
Shelby Wells Shelby Wells 5'9" | SF State NewE , 5’9 G – Peoples Academy Class of 2023
All it took was to see one shot drop, and all of a sudden, Wells had it rolling. Shelby was finishing at all three-levels, knocking down tough 3’s off the bounce and deep ones off the catch. And she was finishing her shots within 10 feet at a high rate, converting tough floaters and finishes at the rim. Shelby had it locked in on the defensive end too as she communicated with teammates to stifle WHS’ offense and clear the boards. Shelby’s 28 points led all scorers on D3’s Semifinals night, making it clear once again that she’s one of the strongest players in the division.
Sophia Rockwood Sophia Rockwood 5'7" | CG Windsor | 2025 State NewE , 5’6 G – Windsor High School Class of 2025
Sophia was Windsor’s high scorer for the night, finishing with 20 points and five boards on highly efficient shooting. Rockwood knocked down numerous threes in the first half, plus she drove the lane and got to the line where she converted FT’s. Yet she’s also a natural facilitator. Rockwood worked the ball wisely and created looks for others with crisp vision and playmaking. Moreover, her defense was lockdown, smart, and she assisted in the effort on the boards. The two-way sophomore continues to show she’s the real deal.
Audrey Rupp Audrey Rupp 5'5" | CG Windsor | 2025 State NewE , 5’5 G – Windsor High School Class of 2025
When I think of Division 3’s defensive juggernauts, Rupp is one of the first to come to mind. Audrey is an absolute hawk, both on the ball and off. She has great anticipation, getting into passing lanes and reading ballhandlers to cut them off or rip the ball. Then in the 4th, her offense came to life. Audrey knocked down threes, got to the cup, and made heads-up passes for open shots. Rupp finished with 16 points and 2 steals, with 8-10 of those points coming off a huge, solo 4th quarter run from Audrey. The kid is a competitor and a closer.
Addison Cadwell, 5’10 G/W – Thetford Academy Class of 2024
Cadwell reliability at point forward has TA advancing to the Finals. She’s a strong rebounder and pass-first playmaker who can score it as well, adding 16 points to the TA cause. But it was Addison’s passing and rebounding that shone through in this one. Cadwell served up a handful of assists and near assists, spraying pinpoint passes all over the floor, whether it was 3/4 court or through tight spaces. Plus, she reeled in a ton of boards out of TA’s zone defense. And with her length and footwork, she kept opponents out of the paint and bothered shots. Addison has a team first, do it all approach; whatever it takes to secure the W.
Caitlin Davison, 5’8 G – Hazen High School Class of 2024
This one didn’t go as planned, but Caitlin battled the entirety of the contest. Davison’s ability to make plays and find passing windows under pressure kept Hazen aggressive offensively. TA gave her all she could handle, and Caitlin made the right play possession after possession, trusting her teammates and shooting clean looks when they were there. And on the defensive end, Caitlin took on the job of locking in against TA’s Cadwell. Davison’s work on both ends embodies Hazen’s identity as team oriented, hardworking bunch. Caitlin got after it.
Charlize Brown, 5’8 G – Thetford Academy Class of 2024
The biggest stock riser of the Semis, Charlize Brown. Charlize erupted for 20 points on the night, getting buckets in a variety of ways. She started the game out hot in the mid-range, knocking down clean jumpers from 15-18 feet. She continued that work in the second half, but she found production at the cup and from the FT line. Moreover, Brown showed she’s an adept defender. She rotated crisply in TA’s zone defense and got on the glass all night. I’m keeping my eyes on Charlize going into the Finals.
