. I was in attendance for the event and here’s a look at a few additional standouts.
1. Aline Ballard – Campbell Hall
Ballard is a player who can control the paint. She plays center but can also slide over and play forward. What impressed me most about her play was her defensive ability. She’s a shot blocker in the paint and does a good job contesting drives to the rim. She runs the floor well in transition and is a finisher at the basket. Goes up strong and can score through contact. She can step out and shoot too with consistent range out to the three-point line.

– Brentwood
Dudley is one of the those glue players who constantly makes hustle plays. Always willing to dive on the court and chase down loose balls. She can handle the ball too and is a wing who can alternate between shooting guard and small forward. She can score the ball well. She can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim or take the pull-up jumper in the halfcourt. Good midrange shooter. Able to drive baseline and hit the open teammate.
3. Laila Carrillo – Chaminade
Carrillo is a solid forward who does a lot of her work in the paint. She has good size and strength and uses that to attack the glass. She can play with her back to the basket and can shoot the little fadeaway in the post. Sets solid screens and utilizes hand-offs. She can put the ball on the floor and attack. Spaces the floor in small-ball lineups with consistent three-point shooting. Good shooter off the catch.
4. Izzy Roderick – Burroughs
Roderick is a traditional center. She plays in the paint and can be effective around the basket on both ends of the court. She can finish through traffic and takes advantage of her size. Able to shoot the short jumper in the paint. Very effective player on the glass especially on the defensive end to limit opponents extra opportunities. A double-double threat.
5. Khailand Anderson-Strawder – Calabasas
Anderson-Strawder’s strength lies in her off the dribble game. She has good size for a guard and uses that to muscle her way into the paint in the halfcourt. Can consistently beat her defender off the dribble. She finishes strong at the basket and she does well drawing contact and getting herself to the free-throw line.
