Saraiyah Hodge ([program_tooltip program_id='712538' first='Houston' last='Dream']) 2024

Hodge has landed on her feet because I knew nothing about her prior to catching her with the Dream yet, she's showing signs that she could be a NIGHTMARE to defend, hopefully, you caught that, as well as her passes because they are crisp and on the money in traffic. She creates her shot under pressure and can drop the midrange as well as attack the basket she also handles the ball under pressure

[player_tooltip player_id='897842' first='Caitlin' last='Wilson']-Cy Fair Premier

Wilson has shown me another side to her game when I covered the Cy Fair Premier teams a few weeks ago. Pay attention to what I say, like "she does things you can't teach" and "I LOVED HER UPSIDE" so watching her do things instinctively sums up what I just said. She not only defended on the perimeter, she played the passing lane and handle the ball in the open court but what JUST DID IT for me was watching her handle the ball coast t coast and hit her teammate on the money

Jeani Arthur-[program_tooltip program_id='715312' first='Houston' last='Lady Nets']

Arthur continues to show me what's coming but first, she's a "long and athletic guard", that's still the base because she comes away with steals, quick hands on the ball, or playing the passing lane yet speaking of passing, her court vision is nice, even in transition. She scores off the dribble, a nice first step gets her there, and solid body control on her finishes, plus she can drop it from mid to long-range

Madison Mayes- [program_tooltip program_id='715312' first='Houston' last='Lady Nets']

Mayes is another "long and athletic guard" and her "on the ball" defense creates some problems for ball handlers because she can defend baseline to baseline very well. She also played the passing lane and handled the ball in the open court after, she scores off the dribble and finishes strongly after contact but guess what else. Her timing to "block, alter and (or) deflect shots was nice

Cierra Willaims- Houston Queens

Williams is long and athletic which will ALWAYS be the base but her first step is strong, and she attacks the basket strongly, finishing after the lick. I also enjoyed her body control and how she elevated over defenders around the basket as well as using the jumper. She rebounded, defended, and played the passing lane

Ahnia Bolton- Houston Queens

Bolton is long and athletic, see above but peep this, her "hands and footwork" were very nice, let me drop that hashtag #THROWBACK for that alone but she does a lot of back-in-the-day stuff I enjoy seeing, like going after everything off the rim. She finished strongly around the basket, that includes putbacks, and defended

[player_tooltip player_id='620583' first='Yaheira' last='Battise']- [program_tooltip program_id='715146' first='SETX' last='Elite']

Batiste is one of those "never takes a play-off" type of player and that, combined with doing what she does being undersized also gets her the #THROWBACK hashtag. I love it when a player comprehends the basics, like positioning and she outrebounds players 4 or more inches taller because of that and desire yet the fire she shows attacking the basket, either off the dribble or after playing the passing lane
