Many of these young ladies were not previously on the radar, but likely will be going forward. Here are a few girls that I believe either raised their stock, or placed themselves on the radar going forward.
Ally Blankinchip Ally Blankinchip 5’3″ | CG Prattville Christian | 2025 State AL plays with an unmatched level of energy and intensity. Blankinchip is an elite perimeter defender who has the ability to really get up into and bother her opponent. Blankinchip is not only a high level on ball defender, but someone who excels in passing lanes and rotation defense situations as well. If left open, Blankinchip is a more than capable shooter as she knocked down several threes in Prattville’s Final Four victory.
Jada Bates
Jada Bates
Jada Bates is a crafty point guard who will be exciting to keep an eye on going forward. Bates has a great blend of quickness, ballhandling ability, and playmaking skills. Bates ability to get into the paint makes her extremely difficult to defend. Bates can get into the lane with relative ease, and almost always makes the correct play rather it be for herself or others. Bates creates open looks for her team on most possessions.
Abby Langlois
Abby Langlois
Abby Langlois is an elite defender and very active rebounder with promising potential. On the offensive end, Langlois game is extremely polished. She has great footwork, nice touch, and the ability to get herself into great post position. As just a freshman, Langlois showed the ability to completely takeover and dominate games on both ends of the floor.
Ella Dickerson
Ella Dickerson
Ella Dickerson is a knockdown shooter. Arguably one of Dickerson’s best skills is her ability to get open. Dickerson is a great movement shooter who possesses really good size and length. Dickerson has a high basketball IQ that is quickly noticeable when she steps onto the floor.
Leslie Hames
Leslie Hames
Leslie Hames may just be one of the best shooters in the entire state. Hames has a quick release that is sometimes hardly bothered by even solid contests. Hames’ elite shooting from the perimeter opens up her ability to get into the paint and create efficient shots from there as well. Hames is a true 3 level scorer who’s name will likely get more and more attention over the next couple of years.
